I am very excited to see what is being done in the lives of these young people. I agree with Jennifer when she said that it is very hard and damaging to the children to be removed from one foster care to another and usually without reason. I would love to see changes when it comes to this. I have worked with foster care kids and I have worked with one child that is in the Foster Youth Internet and I am amazed at the woman she has become. She has overcome so many obstacles and has prove that if she put her mind to it no matter what she has been through you can come out on top. I would also like to see a policy or law put into place that if a child is adopted that the adoptive parent should not be able to put them back into the system because they can’t handle them and on top of that be able to have more foster kids that they adopt. Again thank you for listening and keep up the good work.

It was truly a honor to be there and be able to share in the events, and to be able to share with others about the event. In particular, I was touched at the Gala when one of your interns shared his story about growing up in group home care and then being fortunate to find a permanent home (through adoptions) to call home. And, to have his adoptive father be there to share the experience unbeknownst to the intern was extra special. His response was precious. I continue to re-tell the story and emphasize the value of “home” for the children growing up in a State’s care. Thank you.
