Who are you, and what do you write about?

Hi! I’m JP Bird. I’m a cozy mystery writer with my debut novel, Murder at First Sight, releasing July 1, 2026. According to my mum, Murder at First Sight is “fantastic!” and “unputdownable.”

I live in Winnipeg, Canada. I love to travel but hate flying. That makes for a bit of a pickle. I also really like pickles, but they have to be dill pickles.

What is your favorite word?

Irregardless.

I know it’s a nonstandard word, but I love saying it to watch people cringe.

What is your least favorite word?

Appointment.

I am one of those people who, if I have an appointment, my entire day will revolve around it.

What is the trait you most like about yourself?

I was just chatting with author Leigh Ann Edwards Knowles about this! I think my best quality is I am very transparent. I am terrible at secrets and find it easier to be open and honest about everything.

What is the trait you least like about yourself?

Lol, see above. I need to learn that not every bit of minutiae of my life needs to be told.

What is your greatest fear?

Dementia. I lost my dad to this horrific disease, and it was heartbreaking to watch this vibrant, accomplished man become withdrawn and immobile. Dementia robbed him of seven years of his life, and I am petrified I will suffer from this disease later in life.

How do other people describe you?

I couldn’t answer this so texted this question to a friend of mine. Her reply

• Bananas, but well intentioned
• You are kind and will bend over backwards to help a friend even to the detriment of your own well-being
• You are the mint-whisperer (I didn’t understand that so asked for clarification – “You just look at mint and that stuff grows”)
• You have both an infectious and contagious laugh which should be studied by the WHO in case of outbreak
• Generous to a fault, which is super annoying

What talent would you most like to have?

I don’t think this is a talent, but it would be a talent for me. I would like to be able to open a chocolate bar and not finish it every time. I’ve seen people do that and it always blows my mind. How do you just eat a couple squares of chocolate?

If you weren’t working as a writer, what would you be doing?

Something with good people. I’ve had a lot of different jobs, and it’s always been the people that made me love working in those positions. In my twenties I was a gallery attendant at the Tate Modern in London, I taught English in Japan for three years, picked grapes in Australia… I was a liquor sales agent most of my thirties and into my forties. I love learning new skills so as long as my colleagues are fun people, I’m happy working anywhere.

How would you like to die?

I’m not planning on doing that.

If you were to die and then come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?

A pampered house pet! I would love to live the life my dog and cat have. They are spoiled rotten beasties and get to live in this happy, narcissistic bubble where they bark/meow and I jump to attend to their every whim. Naps, treats and walks sounds like a perfect life to come back to.

When and where were you happiest?

I was my happiest when my partner was alive and we would just muck about. He had an amazing ability to make the most mundane chores fun and filled with laughter.

What is your greatest regret?

That I trusted people I thought cared for me as much as I did them.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

My eyesight! I have worn glasses since I was a child and now, I have to wear glasses for distances and glasses for reading. I am constantly taking glasses on and off. I know I can get laser corrective surgery but I’m squeamish around eye things.

Who is your fictional hero?

I don’t have one but thought a while about this and came up with Strawberry Shortcake. Mostly because I loved the way my Strawberry Shortcake doll smelled.

Who are your favorite writers?

There are too many! I’m into happy reads right now and loving JB Lynn’s Hitwoman Series. Bill Bryson, Christopher Moore, Carl Hiaasen, Janet Evanovich, Lisa Regan, Karen White… Apocalyptic authors – there’s something about reading about the end of days and wondering if I would be on the good side or the bad.

What have you been working on lately?

I am currently doing edits for Book Four of the Suddenly Psychic Novels which will be released winter 2027. This series has been so much fun to write. I wrote the first book during COVID where I found myself with some free time and I wanted a happy outlet when everything in the world was so heavy. The characters have made me laugh so much as they’ve developed. I’ve had a few moments where I’ve had to ask myself if I’ve gone too far with the silly but then I reread what I wrote and giggle again. Spoiler, one scene has two of the characters wearing dinosaur costumes trying to open a door with their tiny dinosaur hands. The mental image never fails to amuse me.

I’m hoping my readers will feel the same way and enjoy the happy escapism world that is Suddenly Psychic.

Who are you, and what do you write about?

My name is John David, and for purposes of this exercise, I write “ripped from the headlines” mystery novels. I also authored a business book that was published a few years back, and I write a ton of marketing and PR copy in my day job as a consultant and crisis communications expert. I live in Pinecrest, Florida, have been married for 27 years to the lovely Pamela, and have two adult-ish children.

What is your favorite word?

I have always loved whipsaw. Lately, though, I have been fascinated by contronyms. What are contronyms you ask? They are words that have more than one meaning that are seemingly opposite. Dust, for example. You can sprinkle dust on something, but then you remove it by dusting. Sanction is another. You can approve an activity by sanctioning it. Or you can prevent something by sanctioning it. Overlook… I won’t bore you any further.

What is your least favorite word?

Facilitate, followed closely by empower.

What is the trait you most like about yourself?

I have confidence in my abilities, particularly when it comes to writing. I had never written any fiction before I wrote my debut novel. I believed I could do it, and that made the difference.

What is the trait you least like about yourself?

That I feed off deadline pressure.

What is your greatest fear?

The authorial answer would be “the blank page,” but it’s actually Ebola and monkeys. I read The Hot Zone, in 1994, which talked about our planet’s vulnerability to a mass outbreak of the Ebola virus, and it scared the crap out of me. Because of that, I always hustled past the monkey exhibits when I took my kids to the zoo.

How do other people describe you?

“David!?! He owes me money!”

I hope: clever and good-natured.

What talent would you most like to have?

I wish I could draw. I think it would be great to be able to draw like a cartoonist, for example. I could do storyboards. And then I would also have good penmanship. The ideas just flow.

If you weren’t working as a writer, what would you be doing?

I have been a public relations consultant my entire career. It’s my first calling.

How would you like to die?

Peacefully and with my wits about me.

If you were to die and then come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?

A dolphin. Near the top of the marine food chain. They can echolocate. And they are one of the only other mammals that have sex recreationally. I think they have it made.

When and where were you happiest?

In my kitchen with my family, no matter what the meal.

What is your greatest regret?

I think I could have benefited from an advanced degree of some kind, but it would probably take an advanced degree to figure it out.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I’m a pretty happy guy, but I have always hated being bald.

Who is your fictional hero?

Indiana Jones.

Carl Hiaasen, Richard Osman, Catherine Steadman, T.J. Newman, Anthony Horowitz.

What have you been working on lately?

My debut novel, The Bystander, releases on September 24, 2025. It has received some great early reviews and even earned a couple of awards. I think it’s pretty good and have been hustling to build a readership.

Shelly Jones may be three books deep into a new novel series about mystery-solving gamers, but we’re actually still waiting on book one to come out, with Player Elimination finally dropping next week. (I would’ve got away with it it wasn’t for those damn kids!) Shelly took the time to answer my questions and introduce herself on the eve of the book’s release. Check it out — and get to know Shelly in the interview below.

Who are you, and what do you write about?

Thanks for the opportunity to introduce myself! I’m Shelly Jones, a nerdy over-thinker who loves inhabiting make-believe worlds. Currently I’m writing the third book in my cozy mystery series about a board gaming group which solve murders. Before turning to a life of crime writing, I wrote lots of speculative short stories often refocused on nature themes and climate change.

What is your favorite word?

Liminal.

What is your least favorite word?

Pantyhose.

What is the trait you most like about yourself?

I’m pretty good at sticking up for others and defending them (even if I don’t always do that for myself).

What is the trait you least like about yourself?

I am more competitive than I care to admit. Usually with myself.

What is your greatest fear?

Aside from heights, I fear that I won’t make a big enough difference in the short time I have on this earth.

How do other people describe you?

Weird. Awkward. Introverted. Kind.

What talent would you most like to have?

To know when not to speak.

If you weren’t working as a writer, what would you be doing?

My day job is as a professor, so most of my days are spent in meetings, classes, or grading. When I was young, I always wanted to be an anthropologist, or a forest ranger. Basically something where I could mostly be by myself in an isolated location for long stretches so I could write in my free time. (See above re: introverted.)

How would you like to die?

Either in my sleep or sacrificing myself for the benefit of others.

If you were to die and then come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?

I’d like to come back as a ghost in a library in order to whisper book recommendations to people lost in the stacks. “This book will change your life. Trust me! No, don’t run away. Okay, fine, but take this book on your way out!”

When and where were you happiest?

In the woods mid-hike or sitting at home with a cat on my lap.

What is your greatest regret?

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Be bolder.

What have you been working on lately?

My Wren Winters mystery series from Tule Publishing. The first book in the series, and my debut novel, Player Elimination, comes out August 27th.

Let’s meet Winter and talk shop in advance of her launch.

Who are you, and what do you write about?

I’m Winter Peck and I write under the pen name Winter Austin. I write crime fiction/police procedurals and thrillers/suspense with strong female leads. I live in southeast Iowa, and tend to set my books in Iowa, but I’ve expanded in this new series to go into my old love, the West and in Idaho. Per my brief bio: Author, Veteran’s Wife, NG-Army Mom, Best Aunt Ever, Farm Chick, Goat Mom, All-Around Bad-Ass.

What is your favorite word?

Repercussion. I swear when I was in high school and heard this word for what I believe was the first time in my life and learned its meaning, it became so ingrained in my word vault. I have used it forever and a day, even taught my eldest sons as soon as they were old enough to grasp it. I seriously believe it epitomizes my writing style, my plots, and my characters’ lives and backstories.

What is your least favorite word?

Oh, there’s one word that triggers me like you wouldn’t believe, and I don’t even dare write it or utter it. It’s a nasty word to describe women and it ain’t the B word. I’m fairly certain y’all can figure it out. I hear someone use it and I go nuclear, in fact the one time my husband used it he regretted it. He no longer ever says it. The only context it can be used around me is when mentioning the type of soft cap style of headwear the army used to wear prior to the black berets.

What is the trait you most like about yourself?

I’m a pay it forward gal. I love to teach, instruct, or coach people in something I’m knowledgeable about and they’re seeking the instruction. I really enjoy seeing someone thrive and improve and knowing I had a hand in it makes me want to keep doing it.

What is the trait you least like about yourself?

I’m getting older and it’s not as much of a problem as it used to be, but I’m by nature a people pleaser and try to avoid conflict when I can, or agree to things when I really should be saying no.

What is your greatest fear?

Snakes, dead or alive, doesn’t matter. I can’t remember when I realized I was terrified of them, but I can pinpoint a time when it became apparent. Now I run screaming in the opposite direction if I see them. Even a shed skin will turn me into the proverbial soon to be dead chick from a horror flick.

How do other people describe you?

Depends who you ask. LOL! I’m an INFJ. For all the non-Meyers Briggs personality people out there, that’s Introvert, Intuitive, Feeling, Judging, or aka The Advocate. I’m also a Gen-Xer who is an author. So take those things, shake hard, and you get a wild mix of Crazy.

What talent would you most like to have?

Professional equestrian. I can ride, but I’d love to be able to do all the things I never got to do, dressage, show jumping, maybe not eventing, but I’d love to do reining and cutting too.

If you weren’t working as a writer, what would you be doing?

Well, I do have a day job, so I’m not a full-time writer. I’m doing something I greatly enjoy in our local community college.

But really, if I can ever get it to this point, I plan to run a herd of goats and hire them out to cut back on overgrowth and brush and woodland areas. It’s such a great natural and sustainable idea, it’s just convincing local farmers and landowners it’s safer and cheaper than letting it continue to be a potential fire hazard or worse.

How would you like to die?

In my sleep as healthy as I can be. I’ve had too many relatives die of diseases and I’m witnessing too many family members suffer from ailments of all types. I’d rather not go down that path.

If you were to die and then come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?

Most certainly a person, and I’d be that professional equestrian.

When and where were you happiest?

With my animals. I enjoy hanging with family, but I get overpeopled a lot and animals don’t overpeople me. I didn’t think I’d ever be a goat person, but they remind me so much of horses, which I’m a huge fan of, but just smaller and more efficient.

What is your greatest regret?

Not traveling to far-off places nearly as much as I had hoped. But there’s still time.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

That I didn’t have to work a day job and I could just be a full-time author.

Who is your fictional hero?

Absaroka County Sheriff Walter ‘Walt’ Longmire. How Craig Johnson writes him reminds me so much of my great uncle who was a Korean War vet, a cowboy, a trainer of Quarter Horse racers, the Coors Lite cowboy, the laughing cowboy drawing that adorned the White House wall during Reagan’s term, and a storyteller.

Who are your favorite writers?

Obviously, Craig Johnson. CJ Box. C.S. Harris. Karin Slaughter. Dick Francis. Nalini Singh. Newer favorites, Taylor Moore, Bruce Borgos, and Jack Carr.

What have you been working on lately?

I’m in the middle of writing book 5 of my Benoit and Dayne series. We’re in the production process with book 2 of Bounty of Shadow series we’ve called Bait the Devil. I can’t wait for y’all to read the next adventure in Dot Ybarra’s life. And stay tuned for more mayhem to befall my beloved Sheriff Ellie Benoit and her long-suffering Deputy Detective Lila Dayne.

Who are you, and what do you write about?

My name is Cobie LaJeanne and I write psychological thrillers with a strong emphasis on family drama with romance and horror elements. I travel in an RV full-time with my husband and two young daughters.

What is your favorite word?

Kaleidoscope!

What is your least favorite word?

Delve. I think it’s terribly overused.

What is the trait you most like about yourself?

My passion for writing truly multi-faceted characters.

What is the trait you least like about yourself?

My anger. I have PTSD so while I’m passionate about a lot of things, my anger is rather passionate, too. Learning how to repurpose it into journalling and writing is something that I’m still working on.

What is your greatest fear?

Oh gosh! I have quite a few. But I think my biggest fear is something happening to my kids. More random fears are alligators, tsunamis, falling off a ship, and really sharp knives.

How do other people describe you?

Perceptive, discerning, dedicated, witty, passionate, and entertaining are the words some of my friends use!

What talent would you most like to have?

I wish I could draw and do digital art! I would love to be able to draw my characters. I’ve taken some classes, but I’m nowhere near where I’d like to be with it. It’s a lot of work and natural talent I don’ t necessarily have.

If you weren’t working as a writer, what would you be doing?

I think I would be a 911 operator. I really would love to do that sometime in my life. Perhaps someday when we settle down in a state. I also want my own tiny house where I can put collectables and books because right now, my RV is too small to have shelves of books and trinkets.

How would you like to die?

Peaceful. Even if it’s because of a medical emergency I don’t want to feel scared or angry before I die.

If you were to die and then come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?

I love this question. I think I’d want another go as a human where I focus even more on art and writing, physical health would be more important earlier on, and I’d know I was autistic from childhood.

When and where were you happiest?

A couple years ago my family and I were in Pigeon Forge and we got hit by a bad stomach bug. Once we’d recovered, we went on a random drive to the mountains without really a plan and we had so much fun. More recently, my husband and I went on our very first cruise (and vacation without the kids!) and it was nice to have that time together.

What is your greatest regret?

I think my greatest regret is how I treated people when I was in a strict, authoritative religion. I’m glad that I have grown since then.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Other than my anger, probably my need to micromanage things. I’ve gotten better over the years letting events play out but it’s still hard for me to be spontaneous.

Who is your fictional hero?

There are so many. Art has saved my life over and over and over again. I guess if I had to choose, I would say Loreth Anne White’s character, Angie Pallorino. It was the first time I truly saw myself in a fictional character. Reading those books really changed the trajectory of my life and made me want to pursue writing more seriously. If anything comes from my books, I hope people see themselves in the characters and realize they aren’t alone.

Loreth Anne White, Tana French, Gillian Flynn, Liz Tomforde, Michelle Naomi Mosley, and Hannah Bird.

What have you been working on lately?

I am currently working on my outline for book 3 of The Halpin River Homicides! I’m halfway through the outline and starting to draft slowly!

Who are you, and what do you write about?

Thanks for having me, Chris.

I’m Carol Light, a writer of traditional whodunnit mysteries. I live in South Florida, where the sun shines almost every day of the year. A southerner by birth, I grew up in the Midwest and then lived in Australia for eight years before moving to the Sunshine State. Besides reading and writing, I enjoy going to the beach, spending time with friends, quilting, and traveling. I’m looking forward to a trip to Montana in late July. Fingers crossed it’s cooler than Florida in midsummer!

What is your favorite word?

Intrepid. It’s an inspiring word and even sounds fearless when you say it.

What is your least favorite word?

My absolute least favorite words are derogatory, dehumanizing, and offensive terms for women. Apart from those, I’d say hopeless is a least favorite. It goes against my optimistic nature.

What is the trait you most like about yourself?

My sense of humor. It’s not that I’m cracking jokes all the time (mainly because I can’t remember them), but I often find something humorous in most situations and enjoy making people smile—or groan if it’s a pun.

What is the trait you least like about yourself?

That would have to be perfectionism. Fortunately, I’m more aware of this tendency and have learned that accomplishing something is better than not trying or failing to finish a project because I fear it’s not good enough.

What is your greatest fear?

Heights. I think it has to do with being stuck at the top on a Ferris wheel when I was four or five. I don’t think I was up there that long, but I was alone and a long way from the ground. I’m also not fond of snakes.

How do other people describe you?

Usually they just shake their heads, but if they had to describe me, I hope they would say I’m easy to be around, creative, and kind.

What talent would you most like to have?

The ability to walk up to strangers at a gathering and start an interesting conversation. I’m working on it, but as an introvert, it doesn’t come naturally. I’d also like to have a talent for learning other languages.

If you weren’t working as a writer, what would you be doing?

I’d be mentoring children struggling with reading and/or older students needing help with writing.

How would you like to die?

In my sleep at age 104 with a smile on my face after a fabulous meal and a delightful evening with people I love.

If you were to die and then come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?

An obstetrician. I think it would be wonderful to welcome babies into the world and witness their parents’ joy.

When and where were you happiest?

I think I was happiest in childhood visiting my grandparents in Arkansas. There were plenty of hugs from relatives of multiple generations, fun places to explore in their small town with my cousins and siblings, and lots of laughter. Many of the anecdotes I share in my Southern Secrets books are from my relatives. Don’t believe all of them. I’m not the only storyteller in the family.

What is your greatest regret?

I don’t believe in having regrets, but I wish I’d taken my writing more seriously when I was younger. I’m a late bloomer as an author.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

I’d worry less and work more quickly and efficiently. It relates back to my perfectionism and a need to be thorough in all I do. Even housework is a chore.

Who is your fictional hero?

I love characters who refuse to give up on themselves or their dreams despite challenges. Jo March of Little Women with her loyalty to her family and love of reading and writing is a personal favorite from childhood. More recently, Miss Scarlett (PBS series), V.I. Warshawski, and H.L. Marsay’s Dorothy Peto in her The Lady in Blue mysteries are female detectives I admire.

Who are your favorite writers?

I love mysteries, so some of my current favorites in that genre (not in any particular order) are Elizabeth George, Craig Johnson, Michael Connelly, Jane Harper, Sandra Brown, John Sandford, CJ Box, Scott Turow, Tana French, and Anne Cleeves. More mainstream, I adore Fredrik Backman’s books because they have such heart and humor and Liane Moriarty’s brilliantly unpredictable stories.

What have you been working on lately?

I’ve just finished the third Southern Secrets mystery, Fatal Silence, which will be available in March 2026.

Currently, I’m preparing for the July 9 release of the second book in the series, Death Watch, which takes place in the small town of Crossroads, Arkansas. Police chief Tim Birch arrives too late to save the life of his youngest officer from an accidental exposure to fentanyl during a routine traffic stop. Determined to find the drug dealers and suppliers responsible, Tim and his team begin to investigate, but no one is talking.

Meanwhile, Jana Nance makes a major midlife change in returning to Crossroads, where she lived as a teenager. Her new job as the town’s first tourism director allows Jana to be close to her dying grandmother, but she hadn’t realized her boss would be her high school nemesis. When her committee visits the site of a new park, they discover the body of Jana’s godson, Eli, in a deer stand with a cache of fentanyl-laced pills. The police suspect Eli was a drug dealer, but Jana isn’t so certain. Her efforts to keep the park project on schedule and please her new boss result in more problems for Tim. Unless he can catch Eli’s killer, Jana’s death watch may be her own.

Who are you, and what do you write about?

I am the mother of two boys aged 19 and 11 and three stepchildren, 15, 19 and 23. I live in the South of England in the countryside with my partner of 14 years, our Great Dane, a cat, fish and frogs. I adore the colour yellow, I think because it reminds me of sunshine, and I LOVE the sun. Crazy that I live in such a grey country! I am a little obsessed with exercise, beginning most days with an early walk before the rest of my household is awake and squeezing in a run or gym session after the school drop off. As many of our children are grown up now the rest of the day is mine to write and keep house. I write contemporary thrillers, putting people in extraordinary situations that test their sanity and push them to their limits.

What is your favorite word?

Karma, because it is everything I believe about the world. Sunshine, because it is the thing I love the most (after my family of course!!) and because its two parts say the same as the whole but saying them together instantly lifts my spirits. Google, because it is the place I find all my answers and it is such a silly word for something so vast and valuable.

What is your least favorite word?

This one is easy, discombobulation. I heard it used so many times on my master’s course that I grew to hate it. It is a word that is used to sound clever, wordy, a mouthful of letters that take too long to get to the point. It means a feeling of confusion or discomfort, two words I much prefer.

What is the trait you most like about yourself?

My consistency. If I decide to do something, I’ll do it. If I choose to make a change, I’ll stick with it. With a blinkered drive for consistency stuff gets done, but it makes me a little too busy, somewhat inflexible and easily bored.

What is the trait you least like about yourself?

My constant desire to drag everyone around me on my healthy, fitness obsessed path. I can be persistent to the point of annoying and as such end up alone on my journey to hold on to my youth and longevity. I also deny myself the good stuff and then regret being so regimented.

What is your greatest fear?

Aging.

How do other people describe you?

I guess that depends on who you ask! Hopefully I would be described as happy, kind and loving. I avoid social situations, but when I am in them I am chatty and upbeat. I’m not laidback, I don’t think, and I love rules. I’m the mum that calmly gives consequences and follows through. My family will tell you that I rarely get cross, but when I do they need to run for cover, although I’m quick to apologize after my outbursts.

What talent would you most like to have?

Singing. I’d love to be able to wow people with my singing.

If you weren’t working as a writer, what would you be doing?

Housework, I suspect. I was a sports massage therapist, but slipped discs and hernia operations put an end to that. I also trained as a fitness instructor, so maybe I would go back to that, start my own business and run those bootcamp style group workout sessions at the local park.

How would you like to die?

Old, dilapidated, having used my body and mind out completely and ideally switch off quietly just as I reach the end of a sweeping romance with a happy ending.

If you were to die and then come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?

A dog in an affectionate home with swathes of open space to run around in, or a Great White shark at the top of the food chain so that I can explore the oceans without fear.

When and where were you happiest?

There is no one standout moment. When I am walking alone with my dog, lying in the sunshine beside the man I am sharing my life with, playing a game of scrabble with my eldest son, skiing down a mountain with my youngest son, working out in the gym with my stepdaughter, hugging my parents, writing (obviously!), wallowing in a hot bath after a busy day, any new adventure around the world to a place I’ve not yet been. So many.

What is your greatest regret?

Not having enough faith in myself to apply to veterinary college.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

My nose. It is too big and has a lump in the middle.

Who is your fictional hero?

Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones. I have wanted to have a pet dragon since I was a little girl and my desire for one has not lessened over the years. I want to be her, have her dragons and her gorgeous blonde hair. Mostly just her dragons. Life would be epic with a dragon for a pal.

Who are your favorite writers?

It is the stories I love and there are so many. I’ll tell you a story about why I started writing. I had just given birth to my first son, I was postnatally depressed, on meds and my marriage was failing. Brokeback Mountain had just come out in the cinema, and I went to see it. Twice, I think, maybe three times. The second time I cried all the way through, I even took a box of tissues into the cinema with me. I found the book of short stories by Annie Proulx and read Brokeback Mountain. I was so emotional, in such a transitional stage of life, struggling to keep my head above water. I wanted to create something that would touch other people’s hearts in the way Brokeback Mountain had done for me, so I began writing. I wrote kids’ books, a fantasy adventure, a screenplay and eventually took myself off to university to study Creative Writing and there I discovered my love of thrillers. Thank you, Annie, for being my inspiration.

What have you been working on lately?

I am near the end of my third novel, The Other Mother. It is a sequel to my debut, following the story of Suzannah after the end of The Other Boy. I have a third book in the series which I am eager to begin, as the story has been forming in my head while I have been writing book two.
