KowloonHosting adds two new Datacenter options

In order to cope with the recent growth in our shared hosting customers, we have expanded our datacenter footprint by launching servers at two additional locations. Clients will now be able to select AlibabaCloud (Hong Kong) and CTM Macau as server location when placing an order with us.

The new option applies only for shared hosting, and is not available for reseller hosting, cloud VPS or dedicated servers.

The new datacenter options will add to the existing PCCW Hong Kong (China Optimized network) and Softlayer/IBMCloud (Hong Kong).

KowloonHosting now accepts payments in Japanese Yens and Canadian Dollars

New KowloonHosting site now live – Introducing Cloud VPS plans in Hong Kong

We have just launched our new site! The design has been significantly improved and the site is now compatible on all devices and browsers including on mobile.

We have reviewed our pricing on some of our plans, however existing clients are not affected.

The main change is the addition of Hong Kong Cloud VPS plans to our offerings. Starting from only HKD280/month only, this is a cheaper alternative to dedicated servers, for clients who have exceeded shared hosting and need a more robust hosting infrastructure.

Through a new parnership with China Telecom Hong Kong, we are happy to announce with immediate availability the launch of our China-optimized cPanel shared hosting in Hong Kong. Starting from today, clients who place orders through our website can select their preferred datacenter: Softlayer Hong Kong (enterprise-grade datacenter with premimum international connectivity, suitable for websites targeting a worldwide audience), or China Telecom Hong Kong (China-optimized network, suitable for clients with visitors primarily located in mainland China)

There is no pricing difference when it comes to selecting a datacenter.

Ongoing ddos attack on server HK2

Since yesterday evening we are experiencing a medium to large scale ddos attack on our server hk2 hosted at Softlayer. Our system admins are working with the datacenter to mitigate the attack and hopefully have the server stabilize later today.

We apologize to all clients hosted on this server for the downtime and slowness of their websites.

Further updates will be provided here. Clients with mission critical websites can submit a ticket to have their websites migrated to a different server.
