All Ireland Soccer Finals in Aviva Stadium

What a great day we had today in the Aviva Stadium where our girls soccer teams , Connaught Champions, participated against the other four provincial champions over three matches in an All-Ireland competition.
They finished 3rd after winning one of three very tough games against good opposition. We are immensely proud of how our team played and conducted themselves today. Well done girls!

There was great support from the senior classes with over 100 pupils travelling to this big sporting occasion and our new school mascot! We also had great support from parents who had good reason to be proud of their children playing on Aviva turf !

6th Class Transition to Secondary

We value the importance of a well planned transition to secondary school for our 6th Class pupils and indeed quality information for our parents. To that effect we engaged the services of Student Enrichment Services to hold workshops with both our sixth classes today. The workshops covered the dynamics and structure of the day in Secondary School. Study styles and techniques were also explored and demonstrated.
We also held an information session for our parents on the content of the workshops in our school this evening 7-8 pm. Mr Duignan our Deputy Principal welcomed the parents and introduced the content of the information evening led out by Scott from Student Enrichment Services Ltd.

5th Class School Tour to Bay Sports

Both 5th Classes accompanied by their teachers Mr Grealis, Mr Fadian and Mrs McCormack had a fantastic school tour in Athlone on Thursday 28th May. They first enjoyed the water sports and inflatables at Bay Sports followed by shopping in the Golden Island shopping centre. A great day out was had by all. The pupils in 2nd Class had a fantastic day on their school tour today. Starting with the cinema, then bowling, followed by Lazer Tag and finally a lovely time at the playground in the sunshine!

Our new Junior Infant Parents

Our new Junior Infants started today (48).
They and their parents were greeted by Ms Nestor ,Ms Mannion , Ms McCormack and Mr Duignan.
All new pupils settled in well in Ms Lavelle’s and Ms Bourke’s classrooms. They all received a Breaffy NS branded gift bag ! Mr Duignan and Mr Moran gave a brief welcome and introduction to our school in the school hall.
