“People on the ground don’t eat publications, they eat food”-this is the reality. For the growing population in the world, food problem is a major concern. They are many people who dream for food. However, a balanced genetic and environmental system promotes the production and productivity of major crops like Maize. There are several challenges and serious problems posed especially by abiotic factors. Drought is one of them. Besides, Drought tolerance is one of the most important but complex traits of crops. Regarding this, a genetic linkage map developed using RFLP markers is being used to identify QTLs associated with drought-related traits in different crops over the world. It is praise-worthy.
