I’m not typically a fan of Guatemalan coffees, but I was persuaded to try the Volcanica Antigua beans and it was surprisingly good, even for my very stuffy traditional coffee palate. I did it in the Hario switch and it seemed to round out any bitterness and brought forward a lot more of the sweetness rather than the “modern” zingy acidity of the beans. Apparently the Antigua coffee is known for being a bit gentler and emphasizing more of the comfort flavors than most of its neighbors so I guess it brewed true to form!
