As alumni of the SFU School for the Contemporary Arts (SCA), we’re happy to be participating in a fundraising auction for the SCA’s Audain Gallery. Work by Kathy Slade can be found here, and a piece by Kay Higgins is here. If you aren’t the successful bidder for either of those (or any of the other works in the auction, which ends on December 13), you can still purchase an inexpensive edition, a set of six pinback buttons. You can buy the set in person at the SCA Audain Gallery (149 W Hastings St., Vancouver) during open hours, or you can order one online, and still support the fundraiser. $25 plus shipping, and you can look stylish and convey a message about the state of the world, just like Raymond!

Also launching this weekend: my hate is pure. It’s a poetic meditation on desire and trans identity, with a pleasing, rough, pixelated texture, and a piquant, equally textured vibe.
