Rolling Loud is not just any set of concerts; it is one of the largest music festivals for hip-hop and rap. It was established by Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif. It originally started as a party featuring southern and Midwestern rappers, but in 2013 they began hosting events every summer in Miami. In 2015 they hosted the first Rolling Loud with big names like Schoolboy Q and Juicy J. They also hosted up-and-coming stars such as Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar as they began having major success in the Miami area. Afterwards, they began to expand, and in 2017 they moved to San Bernardino and Mountain View, California. This was Rolling Loud’s first step to global success. With headliners like Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, and Future, they reached a larger audience and began their first success abroad. After years of success in the United States, Matt and Tariq expanded internationally, starting in Australia. This is how a little festival made by high school friends became one of the biggest stages a music performer can perform on.

Line Up

The Big Changes: Rolling Loud made major moves for 2026. After 10 years in Miami, the festival shifted its only US stop to Camping World Stadium in Orlando, FL for May 8–10, 2026. No Miami, NY, or California dates this year.

Co-founders said Orlando gives them “space, infrastructure and accessibility” and lets them “build the ultimate flagship experience.” Destroy Lonely even compared it to Coachella-level status.

The Lineup: 75+ artists with 3 headliners representing different forces in hip-hop:

• Friday: Don Toliver — pushing his OCTANE project
• Saturday: Playboi Carti — 6th time headlining Rolling Loud
• Sunday: YoungBoy Never Broke Again — first-ever Rolling Loud headlining set, dropping before his Slime Cry album

Other major acts: Chief Keef, Sexyy Red, Pooh Shiesty, Destroy Lonely, BossMan Dlow, Nettspend, EsDeeKid, SahBabii, TiaCorine, Skaiwater, OsamaSon. UK artists like EsDeeKid and Fakemink are also on the bill.

Bonus: Live Nation also dropped a teaser for Rolling Loud the Movie; Owen Wilson plays a dad who loses his 13-year-old son in the crowd at Rolling Loud with Travis Scott headlining. Cameos from Sexyy Red, Ty Dolla $ign, and Ski Mask the Slump God.

Rolling Loud also hit Australia in March and returned to India.

2026 Orlando

This year Rolling Loud took place in Orlando, Florida (the first time the festival has been held there) since its birthplace is Miami. More than 75 artists performed, with tickets ranging from $259–$799 and up to 60,000 people attending, making it one of the most anticipated events in Florida this year. As of writing this, it has wrapped up. There were so many amazing performances, but here are some standouts. Headliner Don Toliver performed tracks like “Gemstone” and electrified the crowd with a surprise feature from Yeat. Headliner Playboi Carti performed mostly songs from his latest album, I AM MUSIC. The underground also shined, with electrifying sets from Bleod, Nettspend, and 9Vicious. EsDeeKid performed in a medieval castle set, and 2Slimy delivered a political performance. Rolling Loud was filled with surprises. Many hip-hop fans who attended were content with this year’s performances, but let’s hear from our peers at HMSA.

Peer Response

At HMSA there were many mixed responses to Rolling Loud. In my personal opinion, the festival was great since most of my favorite artists delivered strong performances.

Many found the festival unappealing, with comments like, “This year’s lineup was mediocre” and “I found the lineup disappointing,” coming from Angela Gonzalez and Mia Correa from the sophomore class.

Some felt their favorite artist underperformed, such as Layla Correa from the class of 2028, who stated, “Fakemink is a terrible performer.”

But many also felt their favorites outperformed expectations. Jude Laos and Emilio Hera from the class of 2028 both said 2Slimy’s performance was exhilarating and exactly what they anticipated. Azooz Mohamed and Oneza Faisal both praised their favorites, with Azooz saying Bleod’s performance was “so turnt up” and Oneza saying Two-Hollis and Nettspend’s performances were “healing.”

In conclusion, Rolling Loud started as a little house party and evolved into a multimillion-dollar industry performing across the world, helping artists launch their platforms to a larger audience while capturing the hearts of hip-hop and rap fans everywhere.

Taekwondo is a traditional Korean martial art known for its powerful kicks, dynamic footwork, and amazing speed. Taekwondo training helps with physical agility, mental discipline, self-defense, and respecting others; it also shows you courtesy, perseverance, and self-control. Taekwondo is practiced worldwide and is also an Olympic sport. There are two types of taekwondo: ITF, meaning International Taekwondo Federation, and WTF Taekwondo, meaning World Taekwondo Federation.

Background of taekwondo

Taekwondo, meaning foot and hand, is a modern martial art dating to the 1940s and 1950s in Korea. Several traditional schools known as Kwans began merging their martial art styles for multiple purposes: to standardize a form of military training, to create a centralized national sport, and to rebuild Korean cultural identity. General Choi Hong-Hi, the founder of Taekwondo, officially recognized this in 1955 and adopted its name, Taekwondo. Choi Hong-Hi helped shape Taekwondo and make it spread to 123 nations by combining Oh Do Kwan Karate and Tang Soo Do, developing a new and more palatable style of Taekwondo. 

New School

New school taekwondo shifted primarily toward front leg use/fencing, heavily relying on front leg kicks and counter kicking. New school Taekwondo often uses hand strikes and clinch work, emphasizing a more competitive and more flashy style of taekwondo. 

Old School

Old school taekwondo focused more on balance, power, technique, strategy, and one clear, powerful kick. Unlike the modern approach, fighters use attacks like back leg kicks, clinch work, and hand strikes. This style of taekwondo helps measure and set up kicks by using effective hand and footwork to defeat their opponents, prioritizing a more cautious and defensive style. 

Which do you prefer?

Which one would you rather choose? The old style of powerful techniques, hand strikes, and lots of kicking, or the new style of faster, more tactical, and more calculated game. Neither is better; it depends on what you like and what you’re training for. If you’re looking to train for Olympic style, choose New School WTF Taekwondo, but if you want strong fast kicks for actual combat, choose Old School ITF Taekwondo.

Obsession follows a young man named Bear who uses a magical toy called a one-wish-willow  in order to gain the affection of his coworker Nikki. However the wish takes a tragic turn and becomes a nightmare for Bear. Many praise the film for its unique themes like relationships and loneliness. Rather than relying on cheap jumpscares, the film uses awkward social moments in order to make the audience feel uncomfortable. This unique sense of horror has led to Obsession being countless talks for horror film of the year.

Director Curry Barker started his career on YouTube making skits and short films. He went viral in 2023 with the horror short The Chair and in the found footage film Milk and Serial. He then began filming Obsession soon in 2024 after and released it May 15 2026. Barker produced the movie with a miniscule budget of 1 million dollars and it has still managed to gross 150 million dollars at the box office. Barker used Obsession to highlight the selfishness of trying to manipulate another person’s feelings in order to feel loved. Because of this relatable moral lesson, the film heavily resonated with viewers and the media which lead to its immense popularity.

Whether you abstain from horror movies, or enjoy them, it is impossible to ignore the impact of Obsession on movie culture this year.

My strongest tip, the way I see it, is to practice multiple times with an unsolved cube. The video tutorial involves several algorithms, or series of turns, that work to solve each layer. After each step, the unfinished parts will look different for any scrambled Rubik’s cube. That is why there are so many conditions and scenarios that you need to consider before using an algorithm. You will naturally memorize which ones to use if you practice enough. The attached video explains these possibilities much more in-depth than I can say here, so please watch and consider it as final for your real run-through.

Finally, the most important part is to be patient. As long as you follow the steps and enjoy the process, I guarantee you will solve a 3×3 Rubik’s cube every time.

Multicultural is a perfect opportunity for Aviators to not only express their own culture but others as well—and learn how they blend with each other. During this time, students can embrace different traditions through participating in a research presentation, fashion show, or performance.

Students have an abundance of topics to explore for their multicultural research presentations. Common topics include Postres Latinos, Japanese Culture, the history of countries, foods from around the world, and celebrations. These popular ideas have both influenced and been influenced by other cultures around the world throughout history; Postres Latinos, a frequent research topic over the years, has been shaped by various Indigenous, European, and African culinary influences throughout history. Flan, which is widely known as a Mexican dessert, has its origins in Ancient Rome. It was known as flado, but when the Roman Empire fell it was eventually adopted by Spanish cooks and later brought to the Americas by Spanish conquistadors and colonists. Another Latin dessert influenced by another culture is arroz con leche–a dessert with its origins in Spain but is also believed to have some Arabic influence, as it is believed to be inspired by traditional Arabic rice and cinnamon mixtures. A variant of this dish is arroz con dulce, in which the staple “milk caramel” was believed to be invented by an Afro-descendant enslaved woman.

The multicultural fashion show is another great example of expressing diverse traditions. During the fashion show, aviators walk the stage and demonstrate their cultural clothing. For example, many students have gone up on stage wearing quinceanera dresses (a type of grand dress used to celebrate a girl’s transition to adulthood), kimonos (a cultural symbol representing identity and harmony within nature, worn during major life events such as weddings, graduations, and coming of age ceremonies), and sarees (a traditional Indian silky garment globally recognized for its symbolism of elegance and traditional beauty, often worn during grand ceremonies and celebrations). There are many more cultures which are represented in Multicultural through dances, foods, and clothing, which is what makes Multicultural a great event to connect with others and learn about the differences and similarities we all have between ourselves. 

The fashion show during the Multicultural celebration isn’t the only way students are able to embrace their own or a different culture. Students perform on stage in front of their peers and parents to display cultural dances, songs, and more. There’s always a variety of songs sung and dances performed during the annual Multicultural celebration. The dances that take place during Multicultural originate from various regions of the world. There are commonly various dances from different regions in Africa, Latin America, and even regions in Oceania such as the Samoan region. 

Many cultures celebrated today have slowly developed throughout time, with some cultures beginning as branches of different cultures and others being completely new cultures that developed over time. Regardless of their beginning, the history of every culture that we know now is a complicated one; every tradition has its own complex history.

3. It helps students with college, and beyond

Newspaper Club is more than just another club to join; it is something that can look strong on a transcript and college application. It shows colleges that a student can be involved, committed, and able to communicate thoughtfully while meeting other deadlines. If students want an activity that is both meaningful now and useful later, Newspaper Club is a great choice.

4. Stay involved with school community

It is easy to go through school without knowing everything happening around you, but Newspaper Club helps change that. It keeps students connected to school events, sports, achievements, and staff/student stories showing the uniqueness and involvement of those in our campus.
