While a quick summer shower briefly passed through, it did little to dampen spirits. The skies cleared, the sun returned and the energy was high as guests gathered for an afternoon of great beer, fun activities, live music and charitable giving set against the stunning backdrop of New Hampshire’s Lakes Region. Guests were welcomed by the familiar sounds of Jack Ancora, returning once again to deliver a dynamic live performance that perfectly set the tone for the event, with a couple bonus country songs thrown in the mix.
With over 30 vendors on site, guests explored a wide array of craft beers, ciders, seltzers and spirits. After tasting and casting their votes, the results of the People’s Choice Awards were in:
This year’s event introduced exciting new features that added to the fun: a mechanical bull and a photo booth from Blast Party Rentals, both of which raised funds for the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction, alongside the always-popular keg toss competition and 50/50 raffle. The keg toss brought back last year’s champions for another round of impressive throws. Greg launched the keg 29 feet 7 inches to defend his title in the men’s division, while Maghon remained undefeated in the women’s division with a throw of 33 feet 1 inch. The mechanical bull added both laughter and competition, with Justin C. holding the top men’s ride at 25 seconds, and Ashley P. taking the win for the women’s category at 24 seconds. The bull rides raised an impressive $445 for charity, while the photo booth captured fun memories all afternoon long. In total, this year’s event raised $1,190 for the Children’s Auction, with an additional $360 awarded to the 50/50 raffle winner. Guests also tried their luck with a variety of door prize raffles, with exciting giveaways like YETI coolers, Path Resorts gift cards and other crowd favorites.

As the event wrapped up and the sun dipped lower over the hills, guests left with new memories, new friends and a few new favorite breweries. The 10th annual Brew with a View was one for the books and we’re already looking ahead to next year.

The festival atmosphere was electric, where guests enjoyed a diverse array of beverages from some of the top craft breweries and cideries in the region. With attendees exploring the flavors on offer, the competition for the best brewery was fierce. After a lively session of tasting and voting, Blaze Brewing Company emerged as the crowd favorite with 66 votes, followed by Spyglass Brewing Company with 48 votes and Henniker Brewing Company rounding out the top three with 43 votes.

The air was filled with the melodious sounds of Jack Ancora, whose live performance set the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of leisure and enjoyment. The brewfest wasn’t just about the beer, ciders and spirits; guests also engaged in friendly rounds of cornhole and Kan Jam, adding a competitive twist to the festivities. In addition to craft beer tastings and lawn games, the festival also supported a noble cause. The Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction made its third consecutive appearance, hosting the popular keg toss competition and a 50/50 raffle. The keg toss saw impressive throws, with Greg setting a mark of 27 feet in the men’s category and Mahgon leading the women’s with a throw of 32 feet. The 50/50 raffle winner walked away with $428, while the auction raised a commendable total of $992, with all proceeds benefiting local children and families.

Whether a seasoned beer lover or a curious newcomer, everyone found a brew to enjoy. Festival attendees had the chance to vote for their favorite vendors and the results are in! The top voted breweries and distilleries were 603 Brewery and Tamworth Distillery tied for third place, Canteen Spirits for second place and the best brewery was Carlson Orchards!
The festivities were further amplified by the talented musicians Matt the Sax and Evan Foisy, who provided a perfect soundtrack to the event. The weather also played its part, holding off for most of the day with just a brief, refreshing rain shower throughout the event. The festival was not just about beer, as attendees enjoyed a variety of games like cornhole and a giant connect four game while taking in the beautiful vistas.

The brewfest also had a charitable angle, with the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction raising a total of $937. One of the main attractions of the day was the charity keg toss competition, with champions Justin Cutillo throwing the men’s keg 18 feet and Terry Pacheco impressing everyone by hurling the women’s keg an astonishing 30 feet! Attendees could also participate in a 50/50 raffle knowing that their contributions were going to a good cause.
There was prize giveaway where attendees had the opportunity to win some incredible prizes, including a vacation gift card and Steele Hill Adventure certificate. Catering to the hungry crowd, there was an array of food options available, with hot dogs, burgers, tacos, and large pretzels being some of the staples. Our VIP guests enjoyed an extra hour at the start of the event, special swag bags, and delightful hors d’oeuvres that complemented their beer tasting experience.

This year’s Brew with a View was a testament to the vibrant community surrounding Steele Hill Resort. A massive thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the day with us! The success of this year’s Brew with a View has set the bar high, and we are already excitedly preparing for next year’s event. Matt the Sax provided an excellent melodic mix matching the vibe perfectly for this year’s event. Incorporating his saxophone, guitar and excellent vocals into his musical performance, Matt got the crowd up and dancing with brews in hand. The Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction also joined in on the fun this year by hosting a 50/50 raffle and our first annual Keg Toss competition, raising a total of nearly $1,200 to be donated to local families in need! Event goers got to test their strength by seeing how far they could hurl a keg with all proceeds benefiting the children and families of the Lakes Region. There was a men’s and women’s division where the furthest throw in each category was awarded a $150 Path Resorts gift Card. The women’s winner was Nicole Carr who was able to launch the keg a distance of 36.5 feet. In the men’s division, Mike Kent was able to take the gold with a throw of 28 feet exactly. Congrats to both of our Keg Toss winners and all competitors who went out to show their strength while donating to a great cause.

Our annual people’s choice Brew with a View awards were also a big hit this year. Event attendees enjoyed using their voting stones to vote for their favorite breweries and the top three vendors this year were:
