SWCC awards contract to ACC for flow meter verification services

SWCC have awarded a contract for the verification of large diameter electromagnetic flow meters. ACC offer this service using a FLEXIM clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter. The contract also includes the calibration of differential pressure transmitters for gas and liquid differential pressure meters.

FMD successfully completed the factory acceptance testing of ACC’s small volume prover which will provide the primary standard for their calibration facility being created in Dammam Industrial City 2. Because of COVID-19 restrictions remote witnessing was used, with great success.

National Water Company (NWC) awards ACC prestigious contract for the supply of eight mobile water calibration facilities for domestic water meters

ACC are honored to have been awarded a project by NWC for the design and supply of eight mobile calibration facilities. Each self-contained facility will be capable of calibrating a range of different sized domestic water meters, from DN15 to DN40, in accordance with the requirements of OIML R49.

ABB complete build of ACC’s recirculation pump inverter drives

ABB have completed the build and subsequent testing of the inverter drives to be used for motor speed control at ACC’s calibration facility in Dammam. The drives are now boxed and ready for shipment.

Factory Acceptance Testing of ACC’s calibration facility’s data acquisition and control system has been successfully completed. With extensive travel restrictions in place due to Covid-19, the witnessing was carried out remotely thanks to measures.

ACC moves into new facility in Dammam Industrial Zone 2

ACC have signed the lease agreement and are moving in to their new facility at MODON’s Dammam Industrial Zone 2. “There’s some work to do before we move in, but the project really starts now” said Dr Phil Mark. “There will be regular news updates as the project progresses over the coming months.”

ACC awards contract to Hydratron Ltd for the supply of its calibration facility’s pressurisation system

ACC has awarded a contract to Hydratron for the design and supply of a pressurisation unit for its flow meter calibration facility. The pressurisation unit will enable the facility to operate at pressures up to 50bar, replicating meter operating conditions during the calibration process, vital for high accuracy.

ACC has awarded a contract to ABB for the supply of the motors and inverter drives for its calibration facility’s main recirculation pumps. By using the same supplier for these key items as well as the facility control system ACC were assured of optimum performance.

ACC has awarded a contract to Pumping and Technical Services Ltd (PATS) for the design, manufacture and supply of the calibration facility’s main recirculation pumps. The pumps will be capable of operating at pressures up to 50bar and with a combined flow rate of over 800m³/hr. The operating liquid will be water or oil. PATS expertise in this specialist field was highly valued.
