Reports to the Human Rights Education Programme Coordinator

About the Role:

As an HRE Programme Associate, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our educational initiatives. You’ll work closely with diverse groups, from educators to activists, contributing to the development and execution of our yearly operational plan.
Your responsibilities include:
✔ Crafting compelling project proposals for fundraising efforts;
✔ Organising engaging HRE workshops for various groups;
✔ Maintaining strong communication channels with educators and partners;
✔ Advocating for human rights education to relevant stakeholders;
✔ Monitoring governmental and non-governmental HRE initiatives;
✔ Assisting in logistical planning and execution of activities.

Skills & Qualifications:

▪Degree in Social Sciences (Psychology, Education, Sociology, Anthropology, etc.);
▪Excellent communication and public speaking skills;
▪Ability to foster relationships with diverse stakeholders;
▪Fluency in English, Romanian, and Russian;
▪A drive for continuous learning and professional development

About the Role:

As a Social Media and Communication Manager, you will support AIM in enhancing the visibility of its initiatives, results and impact, using a human rights and gender-oriented approach. You will support AIM in the elaboration and implementation of materials and events, according to the communication and visibility objectives of the organization.

Reports to the Executive Director.

Your responsibilities include:

  • production of content and communication materials – human stories, videos, articles for website, factsheets, briefs etc., about AIM’s most important achievements.
  • production of visual content – social media cards, etc.
  • Draft and plan campaigns-related content for national/regional media and Social Media channels – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and others
  • coordinate events visibility and logistical arrangements
  • Draft media invitations and press releases
  • organizing press conferences and/or media events for the organization’s outreach activities.

To qualify for this position, you have to possess the following skills & qualifications:

  • University degree in public relations, communication, journalism, social science or related areas. Additional training and certification in communication/new media is an asset. 
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in working with mass media or as a communication consultant; 
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing media/communications, awareness raising campaigns, event organization and informational materials;
  • Experience in the coordination and administration of communication activities for international organizations or Human Rights organizations would be an asset.
  • Understanding of the Human Rights related issues. 
  • Proven understanding of online media and new communication trends is a strong asset;
  • Ability to think creatively, to develop and implement innovative solutions for traditional issues.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Fluency in Romanian, English and Russian languages.
  • Advanced ability to work with graphics and design apps.
