Kiwi’s win first Round of British Gravel Rally Championship

This became one of those rallies where we really had to extend ourselves to battle for position. Most corners were 2nd gear but I had pretty much figured out the best compromise between 1st and 3rd gears for the different corner degrees.

As we grew a little more familiar with the notes we pushed on harder and found the car an absolute delight to drive.

Friday Night

The first two stages were short spectator stages and we struggled through them. I (Andrew) drove the car for the very first time and the gearbox and handling were very different and we both struggled to know where we were with the Patterson Pace

Bournemouth Sunseeker Rally

Our plan for Norway escalated massively when we somewhat cheekily invited ourselves to drive the Castrol owned and Prospeed Motorsport run Ford Fiesta which is normally driven by Tony Jardine.

The Sunseeker rally started in Bournemouth tonight on a wet and windy evening. With the rally cars starting at 30sec intervals, two special stages started on the streets of Bournemouth before turning onto the promenade and racing along beach line.
