We were busy, people were cranky, and I accidentally spilled HOT coffee on someone! A regular customer came in with his grandson – who was close to my age – that I’d never seen before. I waited on them as normal, and when I was cleaning their table, I noticed $5 and a note that said, “Give this to the girl in the green shirt. She made my day.” and just about cried. It was a great boost I needed through a rough day from a total stranger.
