SF has become much more bike friendly, and I am glad that eBikes can use the bike accomodations.

but that said, I am mostly in the presidio (fabulous and quite safe) and lake street which is now a “slow street” so I am lucky.

if I had to commute to downtown, I would be more resistant.

I bought my first eBike from the lovely folks at The New Wheel on Bernal Heights, and yes, it makes the hills of SF disappear (I lived on top of Forest Hill at the time). By far the most popular class of electric vehicle worldwide, but the horrendous state of SF roads does make it a risky proposition, as do crazy SF drivers.

I struggled more with the OCR bits, I haven’t worked a lot with materials that have the colour variations and text layouts found on record labels, and I found the default Tesseract processing needed some boosting. But if the text is strong enough, I think this has great potential.

Decentralized reputation is a difficult problem due to 1) Sybil attacks on ratings 2) a system linked to real identities in one way or another could be easily prosecuted by the state 3) reputations not verifiably linked to real identities could be sold to untrustworthy parties. I think the best we could do is use personal trust networks where you only trust the ratings or identities of those you know directly or some very small number of steps removed from you.
