I enjoy your distribution of these writings. I would write that this newsletter could be summed up as an absence of tolerance in America.
I additionally think that our childhoods had school prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance for most of us. Perhaps this has had more impact than we had anticipated?
For me, anyway, my own observations have been that this lack of tolerance began when Mr Obama took office, and the true dilettantes were discovered to outnumber (or out-shout) the remainder of Americans. Shameful.

Great column. Retweeting this one. I, too, have family and friends in Texas and we no longer talk politics. They watch a steady stream of Fox Noise, and no doubt believe that the paper I once worked for for 21 years (the Los Angeles Times), which they’ve never read, publishes liberal lies and therefore is not to be believed (along with the NYT, Washington Post and all the other papers whose reporters they imagine set about to daily make up things to deceive the people).
