Launching this September 2026, the new hour-long weekday show at 3 PM will cover the day’s top stories and dive into key issues affecting Greater Cincinnati. Marella will co-anchor “Local 12 The Breakdown” with Adam Clements. Marella has been with WKRC since 2021, serving as the Weekend Evening News Anchor/Reporter. During her time in Cincinnati, she earned a 2023 Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Award for her reporting and has built a strong following as one of the market’s most trusted journalists.
Prior to joining WKRC, Marella jumped 140 markets to become a News Reporter/Anchor at WALA (FOX) in Mobile, AL (Market #58). Her notable coverage there included the historic final journey of late U.S. Representative and civil rights icon John Lewis across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma and his casket’s arrival in Montgomery. Marella began her television news career as the Weekend News Anchor/Reporter at KCWY (NBC) in Casper, WY, where she covered the 2017 Total Solar Eclipse in the path of totality.
A Florida native, Marella graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Mass Communications. During her studies, she interned at WTVT (FOX) in Tampa and worked as a radio promotions assistant for Cox Media Group. Outside of the newsroom, she enjoys spending time at local parks with her beagle pit, Jaina.
]]>A native of Elizabathtown, KY (raised in nearby Vine Grove), Paxton returned home in 2022 to anchor the 5 PM, 6 PM, and 11 PM weeknight newscasts at WTVQ (ABC) in Lexington, KY-a three-year homecoming he’s called one of the great honors of his careers. While in Lexington, Paxton covered a number of big stories, including the Kentucky Derby.
Before the move to Lexington, Paxton worked in Washington D.C. as a National Correspondent for RT America. Paxton covered some of the most impactful stories in the United States as well as a focus on international politics and foreign policy. One of his assignments included spending a week in Ottawa reporting live from the Canada Convoy Protest.
Prior to DC, Paxton built his reporting resume in West Palm Beach (FL), Mobile (AL), Yuma (AZ). In these markets, Paxton covered more national stories, including the Surfside condominium collapse in Miami and Eastern Kentucky’s historic flooding.

]]>Before making the big move to the Windy City, Natalie spent the previous three years working at WJLA (ABC) in Washington DC. Natalie covered all of DC’s professional sports teams, including the Commanders amazing playoff run to the NFC Championship game in 2025. In 2024, Natalie traveled to Detroit for NFL Draft coverage. Shortly after the Commanders selected Jayden Daniels with the number-two overall pick, Natalie secured on of the first interviews with the rookie quarterback. Natalie established herself as one of DC’s lead reporters on the Commanders beat. She routinely appeared on podcasts and radio shows across the country to discuss Commanders football and other DC sports teams and topics. A versatile journalist, Natalie was honored with an EMMY award for her live shots following the tragic mid-air collision over the Potomac River in DC in January 2025.
Prior to DC, Natalie spent 2021-2023 working at WCIV (ABC) in Charleston, SC as the weekend sports/news anchor/reporter. Natalie covered the nationally ranked College of Charleston men’s basketball team and the Cougars run to the NCAA Tournament in March 2023. She also covered the Clemson Tigers and South Carolina Gamecocks on a regular basis. Over the last two years, Natalie played a key role in co-anchoring the station’s Credit One Tennis Open coverage. She was also hand-picked by Sinclair Broadcast Group to be the sideline reporter for the South Carolina High School State Championship Football games and color analyst for the South Carolina High School State Championship Basketball Games. ESPN+ also chose Natalie to be the dugout reporter for the 2023 Southern Conference Baseball Tournament in Greenville, SC.
A Detroit-area native, Natalie graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Screen Studies. A tremendous scholar-athlete, Natalie enjoyed a stellar four-year career as a member of the Wolverines basketball team. While in college, Natalie interned with the WJBK (FOX) sports department in Detroit, MI. Natalie’s career in television news began in Traverse City, MI as a sports anchor/news anchor/reporter at WPBN (NBC). ]]>Prior to making the move to Sacramento, Darius spent the previous five years working at WDJT (CBS ) team in Milwaukee, WI. In his first year at CBS Milwaukee, Darius covered the Milwaukee Bucks NBA Championship run in 2021. He also excelled as the main studio host and sideline reporter for the Illinois High School Association state championship football and basketball games. In 2026, Darius received the prestigious “Man Behind The Mic” award at the Black Excellence Awards in downtown Milwaukee. In 2024, Darius won Best Sportscast from the Wisconsin Broadcast Association.
A South Carolina native, Lindsey is a proud graduate of Winthrop University. While at Winthrop, Lindsey gained valuable experience as a news intern at CN2 News in Rock Hill, SC. In 2023, Lindsey earned a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication and Innovation from Texas Tech University. In 2021, Lindsey finished as first runner-up in Miss South Carolina. Lindsey has a tremendous passion for community service. She is an avid volunteer with NothingPink, a non-profit organization that helps women know their risk of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer in the Charlotte/Fort Mill/Rock Hill area. While working in Des Moines, Lindsey also served on the Bras For The Cause Board.

Before heading to Baltimore, Drew previously worked at WFXR (FOX) in Roanoke, VA as a news anchor/reporter. While at the FOX affiliate, Drew helped to uncover a number of big stories, including a new drug stronger than fentanyl being sold in Virginia. He also created a weekly health franchise “Wellness Wednesday”. It was a popular segment that drove strong viewer engagement across all broadcast and digital platforms. Prior to WFXR, Drew worked at WIS (NBC) in Columbia, SC as a news anchor/reporter. Drew earned an Emmy nomination for his excellent reporting on the Faye Swetlik kidnapping and murder case. Drew’s professional career in broadcast news began at WDTV in Bridgeport, WV as a morning anchor/producer.

In 2018, Aaron made the 104 market jump to become a News Reporter/Fill-In Anchor at WTVC (ABC) in Chattanooga, TN. While working in Chattanooga, Aaron was named Best Television Reporter by the Tennessee Associated Press in 2019.
Aaron got his start in local news as a Sports Anchor/News Reporter at WTAP (NBC) in Parkersburg, WV. While at WTAP, his work was recognized by the Ohio AP for Best Sports Feature in 2017. Before WTAP, Aaron interned at Sportsnet New York, WABC-TV Eyewitness News and News 12 New Jersey. Aaron graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Media Studies.

]]>Megan is no stranger to the Southeast as she spent the previous three years working as the weekend evening news anchor/reporter at WBMA (ABC) in Birmingham, AL. While in Birmingham, Megan covered a number of big stories including Hurricane Helene, the Hush massacre mass shooting and the state intervention of Bessemer City Schools. Megan‘s work on the state intervention story won her a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for Continuous coverage. Megan also captured a 2025 Southeast Chapter Emmy Award for her role as an anchor covering the 2024 Birmingham Mass Shooting.
Before making the move to Birmingham, Megan’s television news career began in New Bern, NC as a weekend news anchor/multi-media journalist at WCTI (ABC). A West Virginia native, Megan is a proud West Virginia University graduate. She earned degrees in Journalism and Dance.

]]>Forrest has nearly five years of experience as a news-sports reporter/anchor. He spent the previous two years working as a sports anchor/reporter at WTVQ, the ABC affiliate in Lexington, KY.
While in Lexington, Forrest covered University of Kentucky athletics including the storied men’s basketball program during two of the most pivotal years for the team in recent history.
He reported from international sporting events such as the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and multiple PGA Tour events.
Forrest also gained extensive experience up the road in Cincinnati, covering all three professional sports teams (Bengals, Reds and FC Cincinnati) including the 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs.
From 2021-2023, Forrest worked as a news reporter/anchor at WCBD, the NBC affiliate in Charleston, SC. In Charleston, he covered everything from historic weather events, key general elections and high-profile criminal trials.
Forrest is a native of Annapolis, MD, but he has strong ties to the Southeast. Forrest’s family moved to the Lowcountry over a year ago and he’s a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina. A die-hard soccer fan, Forrest hosts his own soccer podcast, Cleared off the Line. The entertaining podcast focuses on interviews and opinions on American soccer.
