]]>Amanda Haik, a graduate student in Clinical Psychology, is the 2024 recipient of the Donald H. Baucom Award for Excellence in Clinical Psychology.
Don Baucom was not only a distinguished professor but also a student at UNC Chapel Hill spending nearly 50 years here. In recognition of Don Baucom’s lifelong career contributions to graduate student education at Carolina, several of Don’s current and former graduate students established a graduate student award in Don’s honor in the Clinical Psychology Program — the Donald H. Baucom Award for Excellence in Clinical Psychology. The award is given each year to an outstanding graduate student in the clinical program.

]]>The goal of the SCCAP Leadership Education to Advance Diversity (LEAD) Institute is to provide professional development, networking, and leadership skills for graduate students and early career professionals (ECPs). Lead Fellows participate in a full-day leadership institute, attending sessions with invited guest speakers that address topics such as: leadership in the community and profession, cultural sensitivity in practice, tips on publishing, and learning skills in media psychology.
