Elijah's life is the tale of two paradigms, two ways of living: a success paradigm or a legacy paradigm. The success paradigm is a way of thinking, living, and developing focus around being successful while a legacy paradigm focuses on reproducing a legacy. In it, personal success takes a back seat to the success of others and investment in others. This paradigm is all about love. It thrives out of the overflow of the Great Commandments.

Spiritual leadership, spiritual fathering, and generational transfer are irrespective of professions and positions in the natural realm. They are heavily influenced by Divine calling and Divine relationship. Though Elijah didn't set out to become a spiritual father relational closeness with God transformed him into a spiritual father of prophets, kings, leaders, and many more.

Through this crisis, God brought him through a strategic shift and transition in his life. In this teaching Dick Dungan, Spiritual Father and Honorary Chair of the Center for Transformational Living at AeroNova, talks about the importance of having and being a spiritual father or mother. 

Inner healing is part of the sanctification process in which our inner life is brought into alignment with the gospel. The heart of God is toward the broken, as is seen all throughout scripture. Spiritual fathers and mothers play a significant role is God's restoration process.

 As we continue in the series of the 7 pillars we talk about the fourth pillar, a lifestyle of obedience and listening. There is great blessing in giving honor to those with spiritual authority, in listening and walking in obedience.

 In this final installment of the teaching on the third pillar, New Testament community, we talk about spiritual community and the practices of dwelling together with God are acts of worship.

 As we continue to dive into the third pillar, New Testament community, we introduce this important truth: that the pleasures of loving and knowing God enter into our spiritual friendships with others. The spiritual practice of God-dwelling is the practice of dwelling in relational proximity to God. But it's lived out as group God-dwelling. The practice of dwelling with God within deep relationships with others.

In this teaching we deepen our understanding of the third pillar, New Testament community, by talking about a lifestyle of guild based living. In their early history, guilds were organizations for craftsmen or students of different disciplines. Their purpose was to help one another improve their craft and to sharpen that trade as a whole.

When we are living in a guild based lifestyle then we learn and grow from one another, teaching one another. We coach, we mentor one another, we encourage and protect the integrity of one another, just like the guilds did in their professions many years ago.

 In these further teachings on generational transfer we discuss the critical truth that our spiritual authority is directly related to our intimacy with God.

 As we continue to dive deeper into the third pillar, New Testament community, we discuss generational transfer and friendship with God and how the two cannot be separated. Our personal relationship with God has an incredible impact on future generations.

In this teaching on the third pillar, New Testament community, we talk about the calling to be a deeply relational people, a spiritual family community. We see this type of close community and deep love exemplified in Jesus' relationships with His disciples during His time on earth.

In this teaching we discuss the second pillar, the spiritual disciplines. These are the means by which we grow into relationship with God.

In this second part, we discuss in-depth the first pillar, prayer. Apostolic prayer and calling forth redemptive purposes of God is critical to the health of a spiritual family.

When Jacob prophesied over each of his sons, he called out unique, redemptive purposes and qualities that he saw in his sons, who would become the 12 tribes of Israel. The same is true with spiritual fathers and mothers. We call out those redemptive qualities, the spiritual DNA that we see in the people of God, so that people can see and receive and have faith to enter into those callings.

 In this first installment, we discuss the importance of spiritual family, covenant community, submission to one another, and the prosperity that flourishes in our lives when we are set into a family (Psalm 68:6).
