I often get questions about what can be stacked with it, so here’s the scoop. Depending on your goal(s), there are three stacks that work exceptionally well for their stated purpose…
Let’s take a look, to see which is best for you.
This is the slam dunk of legal, legitimate performance enhancement. Regardless of age, Synthagen and Adaptogen N go together like peanut butter and jelly. It’s almost as if they were made for each other, and in some ways they were! A one of a kind Trib extract along with Eurycoma Longifolia, Suma and a dash of DHEA (starter material for Testosterone) and melatonin round out Adaptogen N. There’s a reason it’s a decade over decade best seller. You’ll enjoy a fantastic libido, sense of well being and better sleep. You’ll also be able to train harder, longer and recover from it all in record time.
No stimulants. No drugs. No shutdown. No kidding. Quite frankly, this is the best 1-2 punch in the world of legit, natural supplements. And right now this dynamic duo is on sale at a deep discount, under “Coach Rob’s Super Stack”.
If you’re looking to maximize energy, burn fat and get stronger – look no further! Burn It Up is a fantastic pre-workout, while Synthagen is utilized intra-training or immediately afterwards. The beauty of this combo is that while intensity, fat burning and strength are maximized you’ll achieve it all WITHOUT burning out!
Unlike most pre-workouts that only succeed in digging you into a deeper hole, advanced Burn It Up! is loaded with ingredients that “put back”. Things like L-Taurine, Organic 10:1 Maca and real 6 year aged Red Korean Ginseng extract not only power you up, but also replenish and recharge you after demanding workouts.
You’ll enjoy more intense training, more often (due to very rapid recovery), and much faster results. All without the crash, adrenal burnout and cortisol backlash people encounter with the other common pre-workouts / fat burners.
This is the thinking man’s pre-workout IMO.
This stack is the sleeper of sorts, no pun intended. A decade of Synthagen use has revealed that simultaneously raising Growth Hormone levels is an incredibly powerful strategy. And when it comes to raising GH naturally, there is no better product than legitimate USA sourced GABA. Forget the dirty, dirt cheap GABA coming from other parts of the globe, this stuff is the real deal. You get a truly powerful, biologically active increase in your own natural GH.
Gamma GH not only boosts Growth Hormone, it’s an excellent way to improve the quality and duration of the most powerful restorative there is – sleep. How? While Synthagen goes to work during the workout/day, Gamma GH has you covered at night. And like the other 2 stacks in this article, we’re talking about combining products you can see and feel working.
There’s a lot to like about that…
GAMMA-GH (GABA)
25 Grams Free! Pure GAMMA GH – 125g for price of 100
My recommendation is to utilize one (or a combination) of these stacks during periods of intense training. You put everything you have into your workouts and deserve the best possible results for your hard work. These stacks give you just that, locking in real gains and magnifying your results.
Enjoy!
]]>As I look back over 30 years of training, I thought it’d be helpful to discuss those times where I made the greatest gains. This may help those of you in your teens, 20’s, 30’s and 40’s because the circumstances certainly aren’t unique to me. In fact, it may help you see when one of these times is coming and help you make the most of it.
The first big breakthrough was college. It was here where I was exposed to free weights, the meal plan and some like-minded training partners. We were fortunate in that the college gym was Spartan. The entire setup consisted of the following:
3 bench presses
An incline bench
Two Power racks
Two leg sleds
A dip/chin station
Some mis-matched DB’s
And that was it. We had a few mis-matched dumbbells but other than that, that’s it. There were no machines per se, save for a universal multi-station that nobody used. So we were more or less forced into performing big basic exercises.
As for the meal plan, it too was a boon because I was finally eating 3 big meals a day. Which was a step up from skipping breakfast, having an ice cream for lunch and then a healthy dinner. The first 6 months I made pretty good progress. The next 12 months though, would see an explosion of size and strength.
My roommate and I ordered a book from the back of a Muscle Mag International, “Super Big In Six Weeks”. It was designed for football players but assured that anyone applying its principles could gain big. And it worked. My bodyweight jumped from 165 to around 190 and I got considerably stronger.
The training consisted of hard work on the big basics 3x’s/week and eating 6 times/day. It also espoused drinking at least 1,000 calories/day and gave a killer home made weight gainer shake recipe. I still prescribe it to this day to ectomporhs.
The next big breakthrough was SuperSquats (another book). 20 rep breathing squats followed by breathing pullovers claimed to turn scarecrows into supermen, and I was determined to find out. I read it cover to cover first day I got it and couldn’t believe the simplicity: Take what you normally get for 10 and squat it for 20 reps.
Add 5-10lbs a workout and follow that up with a handful of basic exercises. I quickly found out that workout can bring you closer to God, especially if you’re pushing yourself. I cracked 200lbs in no time and eventually wound up around 225, and a hell of a lot stronger.
My progress was so fast and furious I don’t really recall certain weight records most people do. 200, 300 and 400lbs came and went pretty fast in the squat and deadlift. I got 500 pretty easy too, so my mentor said, “time to compete”.
It was an APA meet in Barre, VT and I was something like 10 weeks out. So I pulled the workout of the month out of Powerlifting USA, scaled the poundages and used that to prepare. Right on schedule, I peaked with a 1370 total, 525 SQ and DL, 320 bench. Good enough to take the New England Junior division..
A few years later, I set a goal to bulk up to 250lbs. For that, I ordered another book – The Anabolic Diet, by Dr. Mauro DiPasquale. It espoused a cycling ketogenic diet wherein I was to eat 6,000 calories/day in low carb foods M-F, with weekend carb loads. I did it, but in unconventional fashion: I drank 4,800 calories and got the rest from food.
That shake was 2 cups of vegetable oil plus 8 scoops of VyoPro chocolate whey protein. Sure enough, I hit 252 about 6 months after starting. Another goal achieved..
Later, my attention turned to bodyweight training. Always thought 1 arm pushups were pretty cool, so I sought more knowledge. That came in the form of Convict conditioning.
It called for 10 steps on how to get there, starting with simple pushups against a wall. I endured that and in a year’s time I was doing 1 arm pushups, a most gratifying accomplishment. – YOU GAVE ME IDEA FOR BP BULLETIN
Do you see the catalyst in all cases? I went in search of and found greater knowledge. I didn’t buy a bottle of pills, didn’t have a divine revelation about what to do – I sought out a different way, then applied hard work to it.
Not once have I seen or even heard of a trainee adding the 50+lbs of muscle necessary to transform a physique from some supplement. All of which leads me to this simple request..
Go in search of greater knowledge now, and you too will experience the magic of Gainsville.
]]>What gives on your new product?
You mentioned it some time back, and I’d like to know more…
It’s still in the works with Predator, and we’re moving as fast as we can. I haven’t decided on a name yet, but it’s as solid as they come insofar as research proven ingredients.
This product will be yet another one of my formulas where the ingredients are out there today, but they’ve never been arranged in a way that works like this.
One of the facets I get most excited about is the painstakingly arranged amino acid sequencing. Now before anyone rolls their eyes, every Synthagen user out there knows what I’m saying is true. But let’s say you haven’t tried Synthagen yet.
Stay with me here, because the following examples will convince you.
A blind man could see that leucine is a key player and needs to be in the mix for optimal results. The NIH study I often quote comes to mind. It shows EAA’s when taken pre-workout stimulate 600% greater protein synthesis.
I’ve mentioned this many, many times.
What I haven’t mentioned, is that in the ratios disclosed Leucine is only used in the amount of 981mg. Compare and contrast that with studies showing multiple grams being necessary to maximize results.
Still not convinced?
The rabbit hole goes even deeper: 5 grams of leucine plus non EAA’s showed much greater effect vs 3 grams when used under the same conditions.
So you tell me: Is there room for improvement here?
You betcha, and just like with Synthagen – I’ve built a better mousetrap.
]]>What’s this I hear about enhancing absorption? Supplements to help your supplements? Sounds like a scam, but I wanted your input.
In some cases this is a scam, no question about it.
But there are exceptions and one of them is Bioperine.
Bioperine is a black pepper extract made by Sabinsa. In a nutshell, it has a ton of research behind it supporting the fact that if you take Bioperine with most dietary supplements, you’ll wind up with more of the ingredients in your blood stream.
Sabinsa has a link on their website where you’ll find all the research to back my recommendation.
Supplements like vitamins, herbs, and even amino acids are all better absorbed when taken with it. 5 to 10mg with your protein powder, fat loss supplement, or herbal product isn’t a bad idea – except in rare cases like Yohimbe.
Perhaps most impressive is it’s effect when combined with Curcumin. As a bonus, the stuff is super, and I mean dirt cheap.
Another is digestive enzymes. Savvy brands like Thrive include it in their protein blends. 100 Milligrams of Protease Enzymes Aid in Protein Digestion.
It also includes live probiotics like Lacto baci lus acidophilus, etc.
These things really do matter, so do look into them!
]]>I’m 16 years old, been training for a year and my newbie gains are exhausted. Went from 150 to almost 170lbs though, most of it being muscle.
My question is, what should I focus on to break this plateau?
You have reached a critical juncture in your quest for a physical zenith – one where many, many trainees went wrong (including me). Way wrong.. You need to shift your measurement of success from pounds on the scale to strength in the gym.
In my youth, my entire self worth was tied to gaining weight. That’s right, gaining weight – not losing it. I’d see commercials for everyone wanting to lose weight and thought to myself, “what’s wrong with these people? Calories are our friends.”
If I was up a pound or more, I was psyched. If I stayed the same or God forbid lost, I was depressed. And I stayed that way, until the scale budged in my favor again.
I’m going to tell it like it is: The days of gaining a pound a week of muscle are over. You may catch a wave of 5 or more pounds here and there, but that consistent weekly or monthly gain is history. You need to get the tape measure, training log and timer out, which will be your new gauges of progress.
Take your baseline tape measure measurements upper arm flexed, chest around the nipples, waist around the navel, mid thigh and calves. Put a pair of old jeans on and note how they fit, them throw them in the closet. In the gym, you’re sole reason for being is to lift more this workout vs. the last one.
That’s best accomplished via total tonnage training, or timed sets. I’m growing fonder now of the latter, where you perform as many chin-ups as possible in 5 minutes for example, as a way of keeping it simple.
Every 3 weeks you’re going to reevaluate. Are you stronger now vs. 3 weeks ago? Sure hope so, because that’s the stimulus for muscle growth. Now, step on the scale and record the number. Heavier than you were a few weeks ago? That’s a good sign, or is it? Time to get the tape measure out.
If your arms, chest, thighs etc measurements are all making bigger circles – it looks promising. But it’s the waist measurement that matters most. If it stays the same or even close – congratulations, you’re gaining muscle. If your waist went up an inch or more, it isn’t muscle and you’ll have to reevaluate.
There is no other way, this focus on strength. If it wasn’t, you’d see guys staying the same or getting weaker and growing muscle. Doesn’t happen folks, and proof positive what I’m telling you is the truth…
Give that a shot, I’m sure you’ll find it superior vs. “gaining weight.”
]]>I listened to an episode of SHR recently where you discussed your history with depression. First, I want to say I really admire you for talking about something that is usually kept in the closet. A lot of us suffer from it in silence, so it was nice to hear someone put it out there.
My question is, what’s the single best thing someone can do for it, and do you find any approach more effective for women vs. men?
The single best thing anyone can do for depression (male or female) is exercise. Your other bedrocks in battling this disease are getting a solid night’s sleep and of course, a good diet. I’m going to put a finer point on those things now, along with some warnings about what you need to look out for.
In looking for the cure, I first look for the cause. It’s clear brain chemistry, environment and certain personal triggers all play a role. Since I’m speaking to a broad population here I’ll try to keep it generalized: You need to get a handle on all 3. The real question is how to go about that. Here it is, from the ground up.
First, getting a good night’s sleep is the fundamental bedrock to getting better. The Russians have a saying, “The rest of your days depend on the rest of your nights…”. Pretty clear what they were getting at, and it’s spot on.
Your allies here are a sleeping environment used ONLY for sleep, a decent mattress and an environment free of wi-fi, cell phones and other electronic devices. If necessary use melatonin, valerian, kava-kava or other sleep aids. It’s that important.
Once this is in place, we get to physical activity. You absolutely need to stimulate blood flow in order to feel better. But when you’re depressed, the last thing you feel like is going to the gym. Doesn’t matter, I don’t want you to go to the gym. I keep my weight sled precisely 10 paces from my front door, dragging it in the street in front of my house.
You can’t tell me you can’t take 10 steps to feeling better. That sled’s loaded with a 45lb plate, because it takes a few trips to start feeling better. A few more trips, and my mood starts to skyrocket. I don’t drag for long, maybe 6 trips of 120 feet forward and backward. Sometimes I add weight, sometimes I don’t.
By the time I’m done though, I’ve flooded my body and brain with endorphins. It might take 5-10 minutes, but the benefits last for hours.
I do that in the morning, followed by a short mid afternoon and evening session. If you don’t have the luxury, a brisk walk at lunch delivers the same favor. Before you know it, you’ve chocked up 30 minutes of feel good fuel and now have something to look forward to morning, noon and night.
As for diet, keeping blood sugar levels steady is the key. That can mean IF, low carb or low glycemic diets. However you want to slice it, the tie that binds insofar as feeling and performing better is just that: Keeping blood sugar and insulin rock solid.
You can seek counseling and medication for more serious issues, but they’re at best 25% of the solution to feeling better. Think about that. If you rely on medical professionals, feel good talk and prescription drugs I’ve news for you – you’re leaving at LEAST 75% of feeling good at the table.
Can’t drag a sled? Walk. Can’t walk?? Do as many bodyweight squats, pushups or pull-ups in 10 minutes as possible. Can’t do bodyweight squats? Rubbish. If you can use a toilet seat, you can squat.
“Exercise more” is easy to say, tougher to do. Too many people think that means a trip to the gym – I think that’s BS. I present here the single best thing to combat depression there is – exercise. And you need only stand up from that lazy boy and start squatting, to get started.
