CIAM is also delighted to announce the commencement of our new Short Course Program. There are still places available.

The courses and classes will initially be held at Pennant Hills and Belmore. We hope to soon teach at Lindfield, subject to sufficient enrolments.

New students are required to attend a FREE information session prior to enrolling.

The aim of this course is to create a 5-piece customised basic wardrobe:

1. shell top (camisole)
2. skirt
3. dress
4. jacket
5. pants (trousers)

All these wardrobe items are unlined.

You will learn how to:

• Correctly take your body measurements.
• Draft a customised master pattern for each garment using the CIAM Method.
• Choose the correct styles for your body shape and lifestyle.
• Learn about appropriate fabrics for your garments.
• Learn how to mix and match colours for your wardrobe.
• Learn couture sewing techniques required to complete each garment
• Complete the 5 garments.

If a student wishes to continue to the “Certificate in Patternmaking”, any work carried out in the Short Course will be credited.
