The COVID-19 pandemic affected the food bank and charitable sector heavily, impacting supply lines, affecting donation levels and increasing demand. Hospitals and the health care sector have also been overwhelmed and require more support than ever. We believe Canadians should never go hungry and should always have access to health care, especially during the holiday season. In moments like these, it was natural for Bailey to come together and help our fellow Canadians. The Bailey family made a generous donation of $5000 to various charities across Canada, some of which we have highlighted below:   <img src="https://www.bmp-group.com/images/default-source/newsandevents/food-bank-donation.jpg?sfvrsn=3a3f28e2_0&MaxWidth=600&MaxHeight=&ScaleUp=false&Quality=High&Method=ResizeFitToAreaArguments&Signature=38FC202D44C8A09BC90020086976FC28D3678A4E" data-method="ResizeFitToAreaArguments" data-customsizemethodproperties="{'MaxWidth':'600','MaxHeight':'','ScaleUp':false,'Quality':'High'}" data-displaymode="Custom" alt="Food Bank Donation" title="Food Bank Donation" /> Edmonton Food Bank Since 1981 the Edmonton Food Bank has served the Edmonton Community, helping over 20,000 people each month. The exterior walls from levels 3 to 8 are prefabricated off-site to the level of exterior finish. Usually, exterior walls on LSF buildings are prefabricated to exterior sheathing only, and the finish, be it brick, EIFS or other cladding types, is finished on site once the superstructure is finished being erected. Ron Stang at Daily Commercial News covered the partnership in an article, read an excerpt below: </div> <div>"The new five-storey-plus penthouse condo on the town of Kingsville’s Lake Erie waterfront had its load-bearing walls installed so quickly there were virtually no exposed ones left to showcase during a recent tour. Windsor, Ont.’s A-LINX Building Technologies, an affiliate of the better known Amico Infrastructures, installed the factory-built walls, roughly 90 panels per floor, in just under three months. That’s about 35 percent faster than had a traditional construction method been used, such as steel post and beam or hollow core precast on masonry walls. A-LINX, which began operations a couple of years ago and is honing its business edge on the off-site assembly of light gauge cold-rolled steel framed load-bearing walls, now has five buildings in its portfolio, with projects like retirement homes and condos located from Windsor to Cambridge."</div> <div>Read the rest of the article at: <a href="https://canada.constructconnect.com/dcn/news/projects/2018/11/factory-built-load-bearing-walls-help-revolutionize-building"> <div>https://canada.constructconnect.com/dcn/news/projects/2018/11/factory-built-load-bearing-walls-help-revolutionize-building</div> </a></div>Fri, 07 Dec 2018 19:28:04 Zurn:uuid:e50d4acf-d1de-6413-ac21-ff00002d9a3ehttps://www.bmp-group.com/news-events/news-and-events/2018/11/06/cold-formed-steel-construction Cold-Formed Steel ConstructionBailey Metal Products continues to support and be a part of the initiatives and higher standards in Cold-formed Steel Construction.
