]]>In 2023 I started volunteering through the Bob Burdette Center at a local elementary school, helping students with reading, math, and other after school activities. After reviewing and presenting years of childhood wellbeing data through my day job—I wanted to get a better understanding of what was going on locally—and hopefully get a first-hand perspective.
After gaining some perspective, I thought I might be able to help parents and their children, on topics such as; truancy, reading and math, behavior issues, manners, self-respect and respect for others. My goal is to make a difference. I’d like to get families and their kids signed up to have prayer via Zoom about the concerns and issues listed above—and then measure any change in outcomes against previous data and performance reviews.

Our firm’s founder is a veteran from the Persian Gulf War. Steve Blackwell was a member of the 167 Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron out of Martinsburg, West Virginia. Blackwell was activated to participate in Operation Desert Storm in 1991 where he served as a flight medic in the U.S. Air Force. He was enlisted in the WV Air National Guard for six years and traveled throughout the Middle East and around the world.
Blackwell has traveled to nearly every state in the U.S. and more than 20 countries. Blackwell says he is most thankful for the unique perspective he has gained through the opportunity to serve others around the world.
