When I think of Judy, I can hear her laughter in my head. A number of years ago “First Wives club” had a pool party at Rachel’s. I was not in the pool at the moment but I suddenly hear this voice calling me and laughing “DANA. DANA, LOOK, ESTHER WILLIAMS ESTHER WILLIAMS”. there she was arms spread wide and smiling big standing on Rachel’s shoulders in the middle of the pool. I wish had a photo. I just can’t believe this is real. Judy was like the pink energizer bunny, just going and going and going. With her excellent life style I always thought she would outlive us all. We were all truly blessed to have had her as a part of our lives for many many years. I am so sorry she had to leave us but her laugh will live on forever in my heart.

I was so sorry to hear that Larry has passed. I’ve known him a long, long time from our Boeing days, back when he lived near Linwood park and rode a motorcycle. He kept a log of every cent he spent every day. He was frugal and he was funny. He loved life and all that was in it. May he rest in peace. He was a good guy.

Elementary school, Jr high, and High school.
Bicycles, Boating, Summer baseball, Fall football.
Riding around in the classic Chevrolet Impala.

I have so many fond memories of my Uncle Deenie. He was truly one of the finest men I have ever known. He always put the needs of his family first and was so genuine and kind. He never sought the spotlight or expected recognition; he simply served others.

I will always cherish our big family get-togethers, where Uncle Deenie was always at the grill making his famous burgers. Nobody could grill quite like he could. I used to babysit my cousins when I was younger, and he would always come to pick me up and take me home. He always had Juice Newton playing—maybe that’s where my love for country music started.

Every time I think of this next memory, it brings a smile to my face. Everyone who knew Deenie knew he didn’t have a mean bone in his body. I witnessed hundreds of times when he would tell his kids, who were acting up, “If I have to tell you one more time…” Well, we all knew he would tell them ten more times. We always teased him about that.

Any time I visited, Deenie always met me at the door with a hug. I’m going to miss him, but I have peace in knowing he is in heaven with our Lord and Savior. Rest easy, Uncle Deenie. I know I will see you again someday.

He was a very good man, I remember him as a kid growing up in Fredonia then reconnecting here in Wichita. He ran a good race that should be pleasing to our Lord…I’m sure he will be missed by many! Prayers for comfort and peace for all the family.

Learning your best man has passed away has really hit me, it really makes me sad. He helped train me when I 1st joined the staff at KSN. He was so proud of his bike, he kept it in his 2nd floor apartment’s living room.

I never had the opportunity to meet Dana in person, but I feel as if I knew her from the stories my Grandma Lou told me. She was a light in my grandmother’s life.
