This is why people now hire things done at their home if they can afford it, and why there’s this impression that if we’re doing household chores, making our house look better, or are the one that takes care of the home, then we’re “less than.” Because the home is not the place where the important things in life happen, it’s the place where I crash and play video games until I have to go to work again.

Hope the rest of 2024 is better for you all. So far this year both my wife and I got sick but thankfully not at the same time. Agree with it being wrong to intentionally get some one sick: I've learned to avoid sharing the same glass or eating someone else's leftovers which was second nature for me when the kids were younger

I, too, started with BASIC. MBASIC on the CPM/80, iirc, but moved to an Apple IIe and its BASIC flavor.

I’ve wanted a good introductory curriculum as some of my kids are interested in programming. Others couldn’t imagine sitting at a desk all day …
