We’ve released two more singles since Junper. “Outsider” and “I Get in My Own Way.” These are both fast paced rockers. Outsider has a kind of 80’s UK new wave sound. It reminds me of early XTC. American Pancake called it “full throttle stripped down raw rock.”

In the Studio

We’ve been in the recording studio the last few weekends, working on laying down a slew of songs. This was a lot more work than anticipated and we’ll need to followup with a number of repeat visits. We’re on it! Norman is done with his fantastic drum work and Josh is probably done with his bass tracks. We still need vocal work, guitar licks, and a bit of magic. We’ll see what comes of this!

Friday @ The Runaway

We’ll be at the Runaway D C on Friday 7/22 with Jody Porter & the Berlyn Waltz. Jody is the former lead guitarist from Fountains of Wayne. This should be a good show. Joining us will be Smokin on Planes. Good to get back down to DC. Here’s to hoping we can keep live gigs happening. We have nearly all new material and are having a great time. Next week we’ll be back to familiar ground with Shakemore, close to PA. See you Friday at The Runaway!

The Rhodes Tavern Troubadours & 7 Door Sedan Rock the Palisades

For our third “post” pandemic show, we are back to our power trio formation and performing at the Palisades Hub Cap Centre, in the neighborhood of Palisades, DC. This is the same ‘hood where I rehearsed in the basement with my first band, “Djant,” (named after the sound of the final chord of nearly every rock song). Anyway, 7 Door Sedan will be backing the Rhodes Tavern Troubadours. The venue is a hall in a church where shows are scheduled a few times per month and well organized and attended. There will be a food truck, and possibly other libations/refreshments available. It is also a byob if you would like. May 7, Saturday. Ticket sales are here.
