We have seen that we have three minds. Next, we need to know that each mind resides in a different body. First, we have a physical body, which provides physical support for the three other bodies that house the three minds. The Emotional Body (in the Western system also called the Astral Body) houses the Unconscious Mind. The Mental Body houses the Conscious Mind. The Spiritual Body houses the Higher Conscious Mind. Each of the minds controls the body in which it resides.

The three minds & four bodies

This completes the picture of the minds and bodies of mankind. Next, how do we as an individual evolve according to the ancient Hawaiian system…

THE EVOLUTION OF MANKIND: The great Kahuna, Daddy Bray said that moving from Unconscious Mind to Conscious Mind to Higher Conscious Mind is the lesson of life, and moving from Higher Conscious Mind to Conscious Mind to Unconscious Mind is the lesson of Kahuna Mastery. What did he mean by this? What are the implications of this kind of thinking?

Let’s see from our own experience how this is true. We all know people who only experience or pay attention to the physical body. We expect that this type of person is not very evolved since his concerns are very often just about physical or material issues.

Some people only experience the physical and emotional bodies together. This person will be more in touch with their emotions, yet not very intellectually developed.

Some people experience just the Physical and the Mental Body, but not the Emotional. This person will likely be dissociated from their feelings.

And if someone was without the development of one or more of the bodies, then they would be unable to perform a function relating to that body. So for example, someone not having the emotional body fully developed would be unable to feel or express tender affections, being incapable of feeling them personally or understanding them in other people.

Worldwide, in the average man, the physical body is the only body that has fully evolved. In some people in the developed parts of the world, we find that the emotional body has matured, and the mental body has grown up to be capable of functioning subjectively. Often in this person, the mental body is not mature enough to carry the ability of abstract thought. It is even more rare to find the progression of thought including true spiritual nature and not just emotional ideals. The great thinkers and healers of our time would, of course, have all four bodies functioning.

Of course, we could go on and on with examples of different combinations, but we would ultimately have to say that spiritual evolution in the Huna system involves maturing the bodies (and the functions of each body). In Huna, the means of an individual’s spiritual growth is to create the development of fully integrated functioning in each of the bodies, as they develop and mature. Since each body matures fully at a different age, all are not available for development at the same time. But as a person matures, then each body becomes available to be developed and integrated:

THE PHYSICAL BODY: Is made up of flesh and blood. It is of the material world and is ready to be developed (although it is not fully developed) at birth.

THE EMOTIONAL BODY: This body resides on the Astral or Psychic Plane, and is sometimes in Eastern esoteric schools called the Desire Body. As the Emotional Body comes into maturity, the instincts, passions, and the desire to attract or possess also begin to mature. The development of this body begins when the person is born. It is half-way mature at puberty, and as that happens we begin to notice an increase in emotions, response to attraction, the beginnings of picture consciousness, and the desire for union. Now, it becomes possible for the individual to express tender affections — his or her emotional side. The maturity of this body can be complete in the teenage years.

THE MENTAL BODY: The Mental Body (located on the Mental Plane) comes into play, and concrete thought begins to be possible. The individual begins to experience finiteness, boundaries & limits. The Mental Body can be roughly half-way mature by the mid- to late-twenties. As the maturing process continues the mind now begins to develop the ability to appreciate abstract qualities. Both deductive and inductive thinking processes can now begin to be developed. The Mental Body can be fully mature in the mid-thirties.

Halfway through the maturity of the Mental Body, the spiritual nature of the individual quickens — the individual may now feel an urgency to get on with “something,” usually spiritual. This development of increasing maturity can bring about a spiritual awakening where the individual reevaluates his entire life’s path and direction. In Western society, this awakening, which can come between the ages of 28 and 32, is often viewed as a crisis instead of a natural development of the Mental Body. In Western astrology, this corresponds to the Saturn return.

THE SPIRITUAL BODY: To complete the evolutionary cycle, the being must return to spirit. Although the maturity of the Spiritual Body is possible to develop beginning after the development of the Mental Body in the mid-thirties, an individual may not even be aware of their Spiritual Body in a single lifetime. The Spiritual Body can be half-way matured in the late forties, and complete in the fifties. If it does, spiritual pursuits may become all-important, all-consuming.

Half-way through the maturity of the Spiritual Body or sometimes even later, the spiritual nature of the individual really begins to assert itself, and if the earlier spiritual message was attended to in the late ’20s, then this quickening will likely not be disruptive. If the spiritual awakening was not fully attended to in the late twenties, there can be another reevaluation at this time, and this may also be mistakenly viewed as a crisis. In Western astrology, this time corresponds to the Uranus opposition and may bring a mid-life crisis.

It is important to remember that, while the various bodies are available to mature at these ages, individuals develop at different speeds, so someone may develop spiritually very early on, while another may develop late in life, or may not develop spiritually at all. The Kahuna of ancient Hawaii was adept at discovering which children would develop quickly and which ones would not. Uncle George (our mentor in the ancient Hawaiian chants, George Naope) was selected at a very young age to learn the ancient chants by his grandmother.

BALANCE DURING GROWTH: Balancing of the functions of each of the bodies is especially important when it comes to processes that speed up our evolution, such as bringing down the spirit. Each of the bodies needs to be balanced so that the person remains balanced. The ancient saying is, “Noa first then Noho”

Noa: Freed from taboo, constantly burning, of fire, or the cleansing through the fire of spirit.

Noho: Bringing spirit down inside the physical body

One process by which we do this, then, is breathing. Since Mana, the life force energy is the fourth element in our transformational equation, and since the word for four is “Ha,” also meaning breath, the way is through the breathing. Now, since we’re going to attempt to make a connection with and have communication with the gods, goddesses, and angels of the Hawaiian system, it might be good if we had an idea of who they are.

Io, Keawe, IAO, Kela, Tera: I’o is the unmanifest infinite source of creation. Before time began, I’o was. Then, Io breathed forth Mana which pervades space equally and is in every living thing. Mana gives all living creatures the power to live and be alive. Io sent the Mana across the Po (the darkness), and created Kane, the creator, and creation began. According to Leinani Melville, Io spoke the word Ola into the emptiness of the Po, and commanded the creation into motion. This brought the flaming cross of light, the Kaukahi.

Io was also the first and original Hawaiian God. The 4 major gods, Ku, Lono, Kane and Kanaloa came later. The Hawaiians would later drift away from Io into the Aumakua system, and then to the 4 main gods with the establishment of the systems of Pa’ao.

Kane, Elieli, Eli, Kane Ulu Lani, Kane Nui Akea: Io sent Mana across the Po, and created Kane, Io’s son — one of the creators of life on this earth. Kane was created, then Na’ wahine was created. Keawe, Kane, and Na’ wahine dwell together in the house of the sun (Hale a ka La). Kane is the primordial lord of the sun, and also appears in many different aspects which are personifications of natural phenomena such as Kane-hekili, the god of the thunder, and in the Taro root which, like Kane is purple. Kane is represented by an uncarved upright stone since mankind cannot put form to the formless one. Kane is lord of the west.

Na’ wahine, Uliuli, Uli: Io manifested as Keawe and became his heavenly daughter Na’ wahine, the Goddess Uliuli, the wife of Kane. Uli is the highest manifestation of universal feminine energy, the Goddess of Serenity. Uli, Keawe’s first daughter, is also worshiped as Malama, the goddess of the moon. Uli as Uli- nana-pono was the one who saw all things the individual did that was right. As Uli-nana-hewa, she also saw all the things that an individual did that were wrong. Together Eli (Kane) and Uli (Na’ wahine) created Kanaloa, Ku, and Lono, their first three sons. They also had three daughters: Tapo, Hina, and Laka, who married the Kanaloa, Ku, and Lono.

In most of the original systems of the peoples of the earth, through out the world, Mana is in the domain of the feminine. A man without the goddess energy is unmotivated — not moved to action. The male energy is the domain of form, the feminine of energy. The woman is the creator of life — the creator of Mana — because it is she who creates life, and so brings out the life force energy — Mana.

Kanaloa: Son of Na’ wahine and Kane, and married to Tapo. Kanaloa is the ruler of the oceans, and consequently the ruler of the Mana. Kanaloa channels or funnels the Mana that comes from Io to Kane to Kanaloa. Since Kanaloa is the ruler of Mana, he is also invoked in some cases to alleviate or disperse disease (see the chant Pule Hee).

Kanaloa is Lord of the South. When the Christian Missionaries arrived, they decided that Kanaloa was the devil, cast out of heaven. We do not believe that this was originally the case since the Christian church has had a history of branding local deities as the devil, as for example, the god Pan in western Europe.

Kapo, Tapo: A daughter of Na’ wahine and Kane, and married to Kanaloa. As such, she becomes the feminine aspect of Kanaloa. Kapo is also one of Pele’s seven sisters, and one of the goddesses of the Hula.

Ku: Created by Na’ wahine and Kane, and married to Hina. Ku and his manifestations, such as Ku-ka-ilimoku (Ku, the eater of islands — the personal god of King Kamehameha, I) were brought to Hawaii by Pa’ao and when that happened, the original order was overthrown. When Ku became the primary god of Hawaii (somewhere between 750, and 1250 A.D.), the balanced system where men and women were honored equally was overthrown. Today, Ku is the prevailing deity in the Heiau of Hawaii, and so women are not allowed on the platforms of the Heiau and are not allowed to make offerings. While we do not agree with the Kapu against women in today’s current system, we respect the beliefs of the current Kapu system. The days of dishonor to women are over, however, and it is time to end that prohibition. Ku is Lord of the North.

Hina: Hina is a daughter of Na’ wahine and Kane, and married to Ku. She is the feminine aspect of Ku. In many situations today, in Hawaii, Hina is invoked in the facilitation of the process of physiological healing, since Ku is the presiding deity of many Heiau.

Lono: Lono is the son of Na’ wahine and Kane, and married to Laka. Lono is the god of learning and intellect, and as Lono-i- ka-makahiki, is the god of the freedom of the end of the year. Lono has a number of aspects, such as Lono-Makua who starts a fire with a staff called Pahoa. (In ancient times, the women did not start fires, men did, so the men cooked.) Lono is lord of the east.

Laka: Laka is a daughter of Na’ wahine and Kane, and married to Lono. Married to Lono, she embodies the feminine aspect of Lono. As one of Pele’s most prominent sisters, Laka is one of the major deities of the Hula. She is also one of the seven sisters of Pele.

Wakea: Wakea is the father of the earth and the prevailing deity of the gods and goddesses of nature.

Papa: Papa is the earth mother, and is also known as Haumea. She was also called Ka-luahine. Papa and Wakea are the mother and father of Honua, the being that is the earth.

Honua: Honua is the being that is the earth — the spirit that is the planet. Honua’s daughter is the goddess of the volcano — Pele.

Pele: Is the goddess of the volcano. Pele has a staff — a staff used to find out if the ground is dry. Many books on the subject say that Pele is a myth, but many families of Hawaii today believe that Pele was an actual person from Kahiki (somewhere other than here), or Kahinina (the East). It was believed that she lived in the land of Kuwaihealani.

Uli (or Uliuli) is the name of the goddess who was the wife of the creator, Eli Eli, who was thus our Heavenly Mother.

Some of the priests and priestesses of old Hawaii referred to the goddess Uli as “Uli `a na` na,” “The peaceful Flame of Serenity,” or as “A Na `I Malu,” “The Infinite Serene Flame of Love and Protection.” Uli was known to all as the “Kahuna ao Na` Wahine,” “The Serene Woman,” “The Lady of Peace,” “Goddess of Serenity,” “Goddess of Peace.” Many called Uli “Na Wahine o Na Lani,” “The Peaceful Lady,” “The Queen of Peace,” “The Serene Woman of the Tranquil Heavens.”

To the High Priests (Puhio kaoka) Uli was known as “Na Wahine o ke ao,” “The Resplendent Lady of the Sky,” “The Lady of Light,” “The Lady of Wisdom,” “The Lady of Enlightenment,” “The Goddess of the World.” And the High Priestesses gave Uli the title of “Kea Kea Lani Wahine,” “The Heavenly Goddess of the Cross of White Light.” Temple Priests addressed Uli by her consecrated name, “Na na I A E,” which only they were permitted to utter with utmost humbleness. Only those few Kahuna who reached the most rarefied and exalted plane of spiritual illumination addressed Uli as “Ka Wahine Ke La.” Some translators have said that Ke la means “The Lady That,” or “The Goddess That,” whereas the word Wahine when applied to Divinity means “goddess.” Esoterically, kela means “That.” But concealed within the Huna, or profound depths of the word Ke La (Te Ra to the ancients) is a very important esoteric meaning: the Sun, identical to the Egyptian reference to the Spiritual Being that is the generative force behind the Sun or the Light and Life of the Sun.

Uli was the female generative force of the Sun, the goddess of the Sun, “Ka Wahine Ke La!” In many Eastern religions, God is referred to as “That.” In the Book of Genesis the Hebrew prophet Moses stated that God said unto him: “I am That I am.”

Ancient Egyptians worshiped Ra (pronounced La in modern Hawaiian) as the Supreme Spiritual Being behind the Sun. The Christian “amen” appears to have stemmed from the ancient Egyptian “Amen-Ra.” In tracing the origin of the early Egyptian religious beliefs, one might go back into primordial times to the sacred teachings of the Holy Mu of Ka Lua, the Lost Continent in the South Pacific region. The Mu was the world’s original worshipers of the Spirit of Fire, the Supreme Being that is the Light and Life of the Sun and the generative power of radiant energy behind the Sun of our Universe. And it was from Ka Lua that the Hawaiians derived the teaching of the Holy Mu. When European voyagers discovered Hawaii, the High Priests of the Temples of Divine Worship were still teaching to initiates the sacred and inspired spiritual philosophy of the Mu of Ka Lua.

Uli was the most important female deity in the ancient Hawaiian pantheon of gods, for she was the mother of gods and goddesses. It was Uli who released the Living Water that flowed in the Breath of Life from Keawe unto the females of earth’s peoples, just as the male gods released the Living Water that flowed from Keawe unto the males of earth’s peoples. Uli was referred to by the ancients as “the goddess with the discerning eye who perceived everything that transpired on Earth.” Sometimes the kahuna spoke of her as “Uli nana Hewa.” “Uli sees all injustice and unrighteousness.” And at other times the goddess was spoken of as “Uli Nana Pono,” “Uli beholds all justice and righteousness. Nothing escapes her all-seeing eye.”

Uli was one of the exalted deities to whom the kahuna prayed when they wanted to know the identity of a culprit. The prayers of the kahuna were never left unanswered. If Uli were unavailable, one of the many hostesses of her Royal Court in Lanikeha, the Kingdom of Angels, listened to prayers and conveyed them to her. Always the kahuna received directions from above and thus was known always to nab their man. As both good and bad persons of every religious persuasion pray to the same God or gods, so both the good and the bad Hawaiians prayed to Uli.

The evil sorcerers (kahuna ana`ana) and their apprentices petitioned Uli to aid them in performing their acts of black magic, while the good kahuna petitioned her to aid them in performing their kindly deeds. Needless to say, the fact that evil ones prayed to Uli did not make her an evil goddess, an absurdity concocted by early Christian missionaries in their efforts to discredit her. The more thoughtful among the Hawaiians knew that the faults of men are not the faults of deities, they are the faults of those who failed to learn the teachings of Divinity. They knew the gods never indulged in the practices of evil and ignorant men. Men’s evil deeds are the products of their own vile minds, the consequences of ignorant and unrighteous thinking.

Uli still resides majestically in the Celestial Realm of Lani Uli, her home long before earth flowered into its existence apart from the sun. Seers of old Hawaii, who penetrated the thin veils that sheath life in the Celestial Realm from the perception of most human creatures, envisioned Uli as a resplendent figure bathed in a bluish-white aura that outshone the bluest star. And at times those kahuna makaula (priestly seers), who were pure enough in mind and in spirit, saw the goddess Uli project an aura of golden light as she drifted serenely on her way across the sky, while from her halo, rainbow-hued rays extended in all directions.

To the few devotees of Uli who reached the highest plane of esoteric perception, which permitted them to see with their third eye, the “Spiritual Eye” that lies just behind the forehead, above the bridge of the nose, just above the inner corners of the eyebrows, Uli would reveal herself and shower upon them her love and mercy.

When the traditional religion of the Hawaiians was abolished in 1819, in the year before the first Boston missionaries arrived with the Christian Gospel, and the temples with their wooden images were burnt, Uli was not destroyed. Only the wooden symbols of Uli were demolished, for no mere mortal has the power to destroy divinities who were created by the Supreme Father in Heaven.

A belief is growing among modern-day Hawaiians that the Heavenly Mother, Uli, eagerly awaits the day when her children will once more raise their faces, their eyes, and their hands and pay her homage as did their forefathers for many thousands of years, so that she may once again bestow her blessings on them.

The process in Huna for casting spells involves more than just producing certain results in the immediate universe; it involves a process of personal growth and evolution with each spell you cast.

One of the major unspoken presuppositions, when a person is casting a spell, is that there is something that stops you from getting what you want. Otherwise, you wouldn’t need a spell. What is it then?

Considering your Universe as being your creation (which is another major assumption in Huna), your future is influenced by your past. The only point where you can change something about both the past and the future is now. When you cast a spell, you need to make sure you understand the difference between the spell (which acts in the future) and the present Ð the now.

There are people who cannot conceive that REAL is anything more than the physical plane – the matter which they can touch and feel. To believe what you do in your mind isn’t real, you limit yourself. Dreams, thoughts, feelings are REAL to you; however, they have no substance. That doesn’t make them less real.

In Huna, spell casting always works on the presupposition that the call to the higher-level demands an answer. Even the DESIRE for casting a spell has already put in motion some forces. This is, in fact, one of the many assumptions of Huna Magic.

Knowing this, in the process of casting a spell, you have to ask yourself always several questions:

1. Is this REALLY what I want?
2. What are the long term effects of my casting this spell?
3. What would REALLY happen in the short and long term if I get what I want through casting this spell?

In Huna there is another major assumption: if the spell is not win-win, you may have to pay. Every action implies a reaction. This is why is important to check carefully the consequences of your actions for yourself and all others around you.

We know all so well, that one of the laws of the universe is, “any cause produces an effect”; we also know that any cause, after going out into the world, will return to its source. So out of these two laws, the third one appeared: the cause will produce that effect, good or bad, for which it was provoked. This implies how careful we should be with every action, word, or thought, for each of them unleashes the cause producing effects about which we are not sure. Following this short analysis, we can also say that any “bad” or “good” thing from wherever it comes, is our own making.

Let’s take the example of the mythological serpent with the tail in his mouth. The symbolic serpent has emitted a cause. Let us say that it has eaten it. After going through his body, the cause has come out under the form of waste. The serpent looks and cannot believe that waste is its doing. ‘I ate only good and tasty things, how is it possible this transformation in this unbearable product?’ The point is not to get angry and curse the tail for producing something you do not like. This is the effect of your behavior. Do not look around for something or someone to blame when the effects are in discordance with your liking. Sometimes the re-action may come under a form, which you cannot recognize, but it is always your action that started the process. This may not be always pleasant, but how empowering to know that we are at the cause of everything happening in our universe.

Knowing this, what kind of spells can we cast? A few examples of spells with the most benefic effect over us are those related to health, of the physical or emotional or mental or even spiritual body, releasing past issues, finding the life purpose and living It, time constriction and expanding, increasing the energy level in the body and opening Chakras.

So, how do you actually cast a spell?

1. Decide what you want
2. Make a written statement of it (for those who know NLP you can use here all the Keys to an achievable outcome)
3. Make sure you state the spell the way you want it not the way you don’t want it (e.g: I want my body to be totally healthy rather than I don’t want pain in my body).
4. Cast the spell.

WARNING: You can improve your relationship if there are things you’re not happy with, but here’s a warning: love and hate spells have a particularly nasty effect to backlash upon you. Use not fear, for fear binds you to the darkness. Be careful with what you wish for. It will come true.

Remember you get what you focus on, so focus on what you want. If you want light, focus on the light. Declare yourself to be the conscious cause of all that happens in this universe and thereby take responsibility for all that happens. This is the step that raises you to the stature of magnificence and makes you the Kahuna. To gain maximum control in the universe, assume a cause for every effect.

BALANCE: With regard to balance, it is important to remain balanced, grounded — “…it is not enough for our mental and spiritual development that we draw down the Divine Light, we must also draw up the earth forces. Only too often mental health is sacrificed to spiritual development through ignorance of, or denial of, this fact. Nature is God made manifest, and we blaspheme her at our peril… The adept never speaks of hell, but of the kingdoms of an unbalanced force. [Fortune, 1922]

THE PROCESS OF EVOLUTION: Spiritual evolution is the fundamental work of mankind. As we begin our climb up out of the lowest depths of the evolutionary path, we begin to realize that there is something more to life. At some point in our climb, we begin to ask, “What can I do spiritually to evolve myself more quickly?”

First consider that we are evolving not as oneself, or one mind, but as three. Continuing evolution for all forms of life moving from the lowest form to the highest form is a basic concept in Huna, well documented in the Kumulipo (the ancient Hawaiian chant of creation). [Beckwith, 1951] It is easiest to think of all three of the selves of a man incarnating in a single human being, and then each one evolving so that the Unconscious Mind evolves to become a Conscious Mind, and the Conscious Mind evolves to become a Higher Conscious Mind. Think of the three as a team — when one of the team steps up, the others step up also.

OUR OWN EVOLUTION: The description of the Higher Self lights the evolutionary path for us. Our evolution as a Conscious Mind requires that we first establish rapport with the Unconscious Mind. It is a mistake to believe that the Unconscious Mind can be beaten into submission. It must be loved and nurtured by the Conscious Mind, as a parent would love a child.

Then with the rapport established, the Unconscious Mind must be cleared of all negative emotions, fixations, complexes, and false identifications. This is what is required for the Unconscious Mind to evolve to become a Conscious Mind. It is the Conscious Mind who must assist the Unconscious Mind to do this process. As is shown in the work of Milton Erickson, clearing out all the negative emotions, fixations, complexes, and false identifications must be accomplished by the cooperation of both the Conscious Mind and the Unconscious Mind.

When this has been accomplished, we must then balance the energy in the Physical Body so that the neurology can handle the balanced energy of the Higher Self. This means we must balance the male and female, the fire and water, the Yin and Yang.

This balance will culture the nervous system so that it can handle the higher Vibrational energies — the higher vibration or frequency of the Higher Self. We then need to continue to raise the ability of the nervous system to handle higher and higher vibrations and frequencies of the energy. YOU HAVE FULL ACCESS: We all have access to all of the gods, angels, and teachers. You have assistance to do whatever you need, to do. And they’re ready to assist you.

If, however, you feel you are held back by negative entities or negative energies, look again. This time look inside. You’ll probably find it’s your own negative emotions that hold you back. As soon as you remember who you really are (light, love, joy, and happiness) the negative energies lose their power in the light. Remember, focus on what you want.

If you are doing Noho with an entity of the light, you will quickly find that it will not use “should.” It will never tell you what to do. It won’t judge you. Higher-level guidance does not judge. Expect to find only love there. You will find that a higher level being will discuss, lecture, etc. — but not judge. Beings of the light will be all love.

Just remember who you are! Remember you’re a being of light. Send the negative energies light and love. Love will always triumph as it is the most powerful, and it cuts through the negativity.

To protect oneself from unwanted energies, you have to remember one paradox:

It is important to know, for the purpose of understanding how things work, is that the World is as you think it is. Reality is relative to the observer. Truly the basis of all shamanic practice is that your world is a reflection of your beliefs. In the Middle Ages, people believed the world was flat and before that they thought the Sun moved around the Earth. These were the beliefs of those times.

Even today, we believe and we’re confident about many things, but we know only what we perceive through our 5 senses. The world is what we think. As we change our perception (therefore our beliefs) our universe changes as well.

If you believe that you’re broke, hopeless and a poor helpless victim, this is going to be your world. Michael Talbot, the author of The Holographic Universe showed us how “spontaneous remission” could occur by holding in mind the right belief, therefore, transforming illness to health. Think for a moment of how many important changes YOU made throughout your life by becoming aware of different choices.

What IS Mercury retrograde, really?

Three or four times a year, Mercury passes the earth in its orbit. As it rounds the bend, Mercury slows down and appears to stop (station) and spin backward (retrograde). Of course, it really ISN’T moving backward, but much like two trains or cars passing each other, this creates the optical illusion that one (Mercury, in this case) is going backward.

In astrology, Mercury rules communication, travel, and technology—so all of these areas go haywire for about three weeks.

So you may feel the retrograde a couple weeks before and after it actually happens.

I myself have experienced it but forgot about it, until few hours ago, everything made sense to me. And I can say that I have almost listen every freaking list I am sharing with you, can you imagine, not one or two incidents, but almost every think I have listed. Just unbelievably insane! So I have decided to give you the thumbs up and at least educate you about it, so you can be prepared, or at least understand this craziness before panicking as I was.

So what do you do so you don’t have a nervous breakdown? Take a deep breath, and remember its “Mercury Retrograde”, and don’t start anything new. Review all your contracts before you sign. Renew your commitments, rather than making new ones. Prepare to repeat yourself often. It’s like learning a new dance.

HOLD ON with any repairs that you want to have them done until after Mercury Retrograde ends, as repairs usually have to be made to the repair! WAIT to sign contracts and generally entering into agreements. POSTPONE any non-emergency doctor appointments, x-rays, and dental work!

Mercury Retrograde is definitely NOT the time to start a new relationship, a new job, or long-term project — let alone a new career; it is not the time enter into binding commitments (marriage, financial, or otherwise) without the absolute expectation of necessary modifications, alternative compromises and/or reversals in the original plan and/or intent. Unless it’s an emergency, it is generally not a good idea make or goes to medical appointments during Mercury Retrograde.

Interpersonally, communications at all levels are problematic, and we are inclined to think slower – process communications slower! We have to be patient with each other and ourselves. Try to see and use humor. Expect computer issues – not the least of which will likely include slower connections (also, back-up data).

REMEMBER: Sleep deprivation during Mercury Retrograde causes extreme confusion, inflexibility, and general difficulty staying in reality-based thought. When we feel the least bit sleepy it is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, not to mention — refreshing — to STOP what we are doing, and close our eyes just long enough to allow the sleepiness to subside. It can be as little as 2-5 minutes.

DO…

1. Review all contracts and legal documents before signing.
2. Take a deep breath pause and breathe before speaking. (Repeat yourself if necessary!)
3. Read all emails and documents before you send.
4. Insure/track important mail and packages (Mercury rules the postal system).
5. Get your vehicles (or bikes) tuned up, pack an emergency roadside kit.
6. Leave early for any travel and appointments, since Mercury Rx can delay flights.
7. Renew your commitments instead of making new ones.
8. Focus on the prefix re-,which means to go backward (renew, review, revamp, redecorate, et al.)
9. Plan reunions with old friends & loved ones (but prepare for possible mishaps!)
10. Expect to hear from/run into people from your past at the weirdest moments.
11. Get sentimental. Reconnect with your roots, walk down memory lane.
12. Practice forgiveness. Finish processing what’s unresolved so you can let it go.
13. Confirm all dates, plans, meetings, appointments.
14. Think of the retrograde as a quarterly review period, a chance to pause and finish what you’ve started.
15. Back up your digital data (photos, contact lists, files) before the retrograde or ASAP if it’s started.

DON’T…

1. Buy new vehicles, electronic equipment or gadgets (unless they come with a good return/repair policy).
2. Sign contracts without a thorough review (delay until Mercury turns direct if you can).
3. Fly off the handle or jump to conclusions if someone misunderstands you.
4. Run into the arms/bed of an ex without careful screening (Mercury reunions aren’t always meant to last).
5. Shoot the messenger if someone from your past comes around.
6. Put anything sketchy into an email or text (you could hit “Reply All” or send to the wrong person!).
7. Leave late for flights or appointments.
8. Start anything new on top before finishing what’s ahead on the to-do list.
9. Lead people on, give mixed messages, or believe everything you hear (actions speak louder than words).
10. Spread rumors, rant on social media or share unconfirmed information.
11. Turn in sloppy or unchecked work, cut corners, dash off hasty communications. Inspect to protect!

The silver lining of Mercury retrograde is a great opportunity to handle unfinished business. Most of us start a million things that we don’t complete, never realizing how much psychic clutter this creates. The retrograde is like a quarterly review, a chance to tie up those loose ends and create a clear vision for the future. Take advantage of it, and you’ll emerge fresh and ready when Mercury goes direct. As the cliché goes, what you resist persists. NEVER EVER AGREE TO GIVE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT! They Don’t Like Paypal too… NEVER EVER TRUST SOMEONE WHO ASKS YOU TO BUY THE MATERIAL AND ASK YOU TO PAY SOMEONE OUT OF COUNTRY, unless you know the person and met them in person.

If you ship the material to someone you never met somehow, they will sell it to someone else. If you pay for the material they will make money on your behalf.

So what exactly can we do to get love back? This is what sometimes happens in a family. If I trust my partner, girlfriend, wife or husband, I will never criticize them. I will never say that they cook, dresses, washes, etc. is not to my satisfaction. I have enough respect for my partner not to do so. Criticism during a loving relationship is very dangerous. We all must be able to care for each other. The best timing to point out someone’s mistake is when a person asks for advice. For example, when my partner asks if they had done something wrong I’ll do my best to give hints about their mistakes very gently and even if this causes a resistance; but after a while they’ll come to me and admits that I was right. Therefore, if I start pointing out their shortcomings, it’ll cause only rejection, rebellion and self-assertion. A different matter is when we discuss something for the future, for example, whether to go to the furniture store to buy a mattress or spend our money on something else. Then it is OK to dispute.

Moreover, you know that every woman has an intuition for her men likes and dislikes. A woman can read in his eyes. So I don’t really need to say anything, she probably has already guessed. On the contrary, at the moment she has realized that her partner had disapproved her actions and come over to her and gives her a hug or kiss in order to create an atmosphere of confidence, so that she sees that his disapproval didn’t mean he didn’t love her. By doing so he is sort of asking her to pardon his disapproval.

When I walk into a building, I always see other people passing through the same door. So I hold the door open for them to enter. My act of compassion offers them a reason to show me respect and appreciation. And it does not matter how small was the act of my kindness, what matters is, I am remembered and appreciated and I get a “Smile” in return, even a “Thank You.”

But if I am selfish, and ignore the people who also walking to the same direction, I will not be remembered and definitely will not attract or be helped with the same attitude.

So in order to activate and to attract money into our lives, we need to originate large amounts of appreciation and thankfulness to be engaged in manifesting what our heart desires.
