710 – “Thank You”

Tue, 26 Aug 2014 22:02:14 +0000

This week we review the series finale episode 710 of HBO’s True Blood entitled, “Thank You”. It was perhaps the worst finale of television I have ever seen. If you care to listen to 50+ minutes of several True Blood fans venting their spleens about it, feel free to do so. Otherwise, enjoy the GIF of Eric bopping down the road, and remember better times.

709 – “Love Is to Die”

Tue, 19 Aug 2014 22:41:26 +0000

This week A.Ron and Cecily break down the mostly terrible but oddly endearing and rewarding episode of HBO’s True Blood, episode 709, “Love Is to Die”. Topics discussed include Pam’s love of being silvered, Ginger’s wish fulfillment, the pulping of Sookie, the general terribleness of all things Jessica/Jason/Hoyt, and we cling to the Evil Bill theory to the bitter end. All this plus your feedback! See you next week for the finale!

708 – “Almost Home”

Wed, 13 Aug 2014 02:20:52 +0000

Cecily and A.Ron are really bummed out about how they’re choosing to close an otherwise promising True Blood season. Tara dies to make way for a Lettie Mae redemption arc? Jessica hitches her wagon to the big dumb Hoyt horse, or maybe she doesn’t. Bill mumbles a mess about how his memories of love are only darkness. On the plus side, Eric is feeling better and we get treated to the sight of Violet preparing to use boob gougers and white hot phallus torture implements, so, you know, there’s that. All this, plus a bit of mostly outraged feedback. Next week we’ll all try to do better, okay Alan?

707 – “May Be The Last Time”

Tue, 05 Aug 2014 20:26:21 +0000

Cecily and A.Ron once again discuss HBO’s True Blood, this time for episode 707, “May Be the Last Time”, which is unfortunately kind of forgettable. Andy cries, Violet shows off her antique sex toy collection, a vampire gets staked, and Bill and Sookie have some retro-relations, but still… yawn? Let’s hope they pick up the pace for their final sprint to the finish, or else we might just have to keep dwelling on bloody vampire sex and potato-based sex ed. Nobody wants that.

706 – “Karma”

Tue, 29 Jul 2014 22:09:55 +0000

Cecily and A.Ron break down another episode of HBO’s True Blood, “Karma”. We talk about Hep-V awareness, vampire probate law, messy breakups, what to do about Adilyn and Wade, some feedback from you fine folks, and a spoiler section courtesy some SDCC footage leaks.

705 – “Lost Cause”

Tue, 22 Jul 2014 20:45:43 +0000

This week A.Ron and Cecily discuss HBO’s True Blood episode 705, “Lost Cause”. We discuss Evil Bill’s party ettiquette, Lettie Mae acting the damn fool, the blinding righteousness of Lafayette putting Red Bone in her place, and Arlene protecting her virtue from her vampire savior the only way a human can; by making tinkle.

704 – “Death Is Not the End”

Tue, 15 Jul 2014 23:42:11 +0000

Hey everybody! Cecily and A.Ron love the latest episode of HBO’s True Blood, “Death Is Not the End”. What’s not to like? 80’s Pam and Eric? 90’s Pam and Eric? The secret twu origins of Fangtasia? Twilight-style final vampire battles? Yes, please!

702 – “I Found You”

Wed, 02 Jul 2014 02:51:47 +0000

In this episode of the True Blood Authority, we discuss episode 702, “I Found You”. Cecily and A.Ron talk about Jaric’s “hot” open, trifling beyotches, the latest emotional crucible Sookie puts Alcide in, Arlene’s epic pep talk, and WTF they are doing with Eric. All this, plus your feedback, and a bit of Cecily Speculation towards the end in our quasi-spoiler section.

701 – “Jesus Gonna Be Here”

Tue, 24 Jun 2014 22:11:25 +0000

UNFORTUNATELY, THE RECORDING OF THIS EPISODE HAS BEEN LOST.

A.Ron and new co-host Cecily kick off the season premier of HBO’s True Blood with episode 701, “Jesus Gonna Be Here”. We discuss our True Blood bonafides, A.Ron’s traumatic experience with half-books, Jason’s blue balls, Sam’s terrible shape shifting choices, Sookie’s make up sex skills, hillbilly zombie vampires, and a light smattering of feedback.
