Work has been rather hectic lately, leading me to not have a ton of time for personal projects. I have, however, made a lot of progress of finding the balance that I need to be able to resume those projects. I have spent a lot of Labor Day weekend getting some relaxation, seeing some family, and optimizing my home workstation to make it easier to work from. Having already done that with my in-office set up for work and my work-from-home part of the workstation, I am pretty much ready to move forward with a lot of projects.
One of those projects is going to involve getting back into coding and game development. I am starting small with a few pet projects including the development of a mod for the Steam game Feebay where I will have some custom-made Puyo Puyo card sets for use in the game.
Recently, I have been moderating for a game called Lowmoor: An Adventurer's Chronicle where I have also been having a lot of fun. The game is a breath of fresh air. The developer, Bogu, is very serious about his current projects and I love to see someone that loves making games actually do it and follow through with it. It inspires me to continue on my own path as well.
I've decided I am likely going to completely redo this website either today or tomorrow as this software doesn't quite have the exact feature-set I need, but I am finishing up a few other things today to be able to set up the right stuff for a long-term blog. I am also investigating some self-hosted project management and time management tools to keep myself on track.
]]>Finally managed to get my new website up and running! Got it set up just right, and have it self-hosted in my own environment. Will work on the backup strategy here shortly. Just glad to finally have this done.
