What makes the Chamberlin Inn unique?
The Chamberlin Inn has 21 highly curated, individually styled rooms that instantly take you back in time, yet comfort you with all of the modern amenities at your fingertips. Guests feel connected in a small-town community while experiencing live music with a cocktail in hand next to the fireplace in the conservatory, or with a whiskey next to the fire pit in our enclosed “secret” garden.
They enjoy slipping into luxurious sheets and hugging puffy pillows while taking in the scents of fresh flowers from a local nursery, or tasting the decadence of chocolates made by Cody’s Candy shop just down the street.

As you step through the grand front entrance, the vintage parlor welcomes you with quiet luxury and is treasured by bar patrons and visitors alike. Guest Services promptly greets you cheerfully with a concierge list of local restaurant partners offering exclusive savings to guests.
The Inn is the perfect starting point for a grand adventure outdoors in Cody Yellowstone and the surrounding area — from the famous scenic drive along the historic East Yellowstone loop, to the grandeur of the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway. Being nestled in the legendary downtown area, you’re also within walking distance of the famous Smithsonian-affiliate museum, art galleries, an exquisite jewelry shop, delicious cafes, bars, shopping, and more. Where does the night take you?
Down the unique hallway, past the room Hemingway once stayed in, you’ll find the Spirits Lounge and Cocktail Bar, where enthusiastic bartenders craft unique signature cocktails and appetizers. Wander into the conservatory and you’ll be impressed by its gorgeous views and cozy fireplace, with sliding doors that spill out to the lush courtyard, complete with a spacious landscaped garden, seating, and fire pits.
All year long, guests can experience live music on Wednesday and Friday nights from 6:00–8:00pm, with Saturday evenings added during the summer season.
Hidden corners worth finding
Up the vintage carpeted staircase, you’ll discover a quaint sunroom full of plants and comfortable nooks, with beautiful mountain views overlooking downtown Cody, Wyoming. Next door is our precious library — the perfect place to relax, peruse our books, or get a bit of work done.
You may be pleasantly surprised to learn that the original courthouse of Cody is built right on the property, out in the garden. For guests seeking a more secluded stay, we also offer a cozy cottage, a garden loft apartment, and a spacious garden apartment.

]]>About the Chamberlin Inn
Built by Agnes Chamberlin as a boarding house in 1903. Her gracious hospitality was well known, and she opened her doors as a gathering space for the town. That hospitality continues today with the current owners.
Over the years, other buildings were added to the property, including the Cody Circuit Judge’s Court House, one of the oldest buildings in Cody. In the 20s and 30s, it was a popular place to stay in Cody—the guest register lists guests ranging from actors and authors to movie stars and business tycoons. Ernest Hemingway is one of the most famous authors to stay here.

Gathering Spaces
Today, the hotel has been lovingly restored to provide elegant spaces available to rent.
The Bar and Spirits Lounge – Located just off the bar, this space allows for smaller gatherings of up to about 30 people. Bring in a caterer to provide light snacks, or order drinks and items from Chamberlin’s menu.
The Conservatory – With views of the garden courtyard and a cozy fireplace, this elegant space is a favorite. Rent it for a meeting or special occasion. It holds about 35 people comfortably. The Chamberlin can help you work with caterers to provide light snacks to a full meal. Join the Lounge and Conservatory easily.
When not rented out, you’ll find live music happening here year-round on Wednesdays and Fridays in the winter with Saturdays added in the summer. In the summer, the sliding doors to the conservatory open to the garden courtyard for a delightful evening.
The Garden Courtyard – Fenced by a brick wall and lined with lovely garden plantings, this space feels secluded from the bustle of downtown. This oasis accommodates up to 250 people. Often rented alongside the Conservatory, this space has hosted weddings, book signings, political meet-and-greets, and smaller vendor events. The romance authors’ event happens here each year. Another option for dining is to arrange for a food truck.
The Sunroom – Upstairs, over the front entrance, is the sunroom. This space is smaller than the parlor, but more intimate than the conservatory or garden courtyard. While regularly set for six or seven people, it can hold up to 14. As with other spaces, just let them know if you would like bar service for drinks and food.
The Parlor – This room on the first floor, directly off the lobby, provides a quiet, smaller space for small business meetings and small parties. From book groups to regular gatherings of friends, you will receive the service from the bar when possible. The parlor comfortably accommodates up to five to seven people.
Corporate Buyout – Many corporations and groups buy out the entire facility for retreats and other events. The buyouts include the rooms and tailoring the experience to your needs. This includes arranging side trips or events as your group needs.
Services Offered
The bar offers artisan pizzas, charcuterie boards, nuts and a few other selections. Chairs and tables can be arranged as needed and AV equipment is available upon request.
