Hi Ron,

The city’s hope was to have the map ready in spring or early summer. I like the idea of getting some rural routes created and shared (it would need to be online to manage space).

When do you think this updated map will be available?
Will it be a download or printed?
I don’t mind paying a nominal fee for the map and in fact would encourage it so that they are not wasted.
I prefer a printed map as looking on my phone is tough…small screen and cant really get a good overview.
A map with some rural routes within 60 K of Winnipeg might be nice. Or maybe do that as a download to print off for your self.

Why is Bike Winnipeg cancelling outdoor bike rides when the chances of outdoor transmission are slim-to-none and physical activity improves a person’s chances against coronavirus should that person get it? Why is there this concern for covid when traffic on the road is a much greater hazard to riders?

In reply to KB ARMSTRONG. KB, we spend less per trip providing people on cycling facilities than we do on transit subsidies. We have more than enough resources to provide for both, we just tend to prioritize expensive roadway expansion over both active transit and public transit expenditures. Cost per trip by car is far greater that cost per trip by either bike or public transit.
