Over the years, many users have relied on My Package to track their shipments, and a significant portion of that usage has been tied to USPS tracking.

USPS has announced that its current Web Tools API will be retired on January 25, 2026. During this transition, we have been in discussions with USPS regarding access to the new USPS APIs. However, due to changes in USPS policy, this app is not permitted to access the new APIs.

As a result, the core tracking functionality—especially for USPS shipments—will no longer be available after the retirement date. Because USPS tracking is a major part of how My Package is used, continuing the service without it would significantly reduce the app’s value.

For this reason, we have decided to end the My Package service in alignment with the retirement of the current USPS API, effective January 25, 2026.

After the end of service, previously delivered items will remain available for viewing, but new package tracking will no longer function.

This was not an easy decision. My Package has existed to make package tracking simpler, and we are grateful to everyone who has used and supported the app over the years. Thank you for being part of this journey.

Q. I purchased the app recently. Can I get a refund?

Q. Will the app stop working immediately?

A. No. The service will continue to operate until January 25, 2026, which is when the current USPS API is retired.

Q. What features will stop working after January 25, 2026?

A. Package tracking will no longer function. You will still be able to view previously delivered items.

Q. Why not keep the app running without USPS tracking?

A. A large portion of My Package usage depends on USPS tracking. Without it, the app would lose a core feature and no longer provide sufficient value as a service.

Q. Will you add support for the new USPS APIs in the future?

A. Due to current USPS policy changes, this app is not permitted to access the new USPS APIs. There are no plans to add USPS tracking after the retirement date.

Q. Will my data be deleted when the service ends?

A. We store only tracking numbers and device code on our server, and solely for the purpose of sending status change notifications. No other item information is stored.

Tracking numbers are automatically deleted from the server once an item is delivered or when it is removed from the “In Tracking” list in the app. The service ending itself does not trigger any additional deletion, because no long-term user data is stored on our servers.

All delivered items stored locally in the app will remain viewable after the end of service. App version 3.1.0 and later can export tracking numbers and histories from the Settings tab. You can also completely remove delivered items by deleting the app from your device.

My Package 2.5.0 is now available. This version requires iOS 7.1 and later (it also supports iOS 8). This is a small update but was not easy job to make it possible. Hope you like it.

We understand some users request iPad support and more carriers support. We can’t promise but try to achieve as much as we can.

UI updated to be more like iOS 7 design
Barcode scanner is supported to enter the tracking number.

Just before iOS 7 official release, I am happy to release “My Package” version 2.1.0.

We implemented some of user’s requests to make the app better including

– Canada Post support
– Lasership support
– Changed detail table view style to show event time in there
– Honor system date/time formatting to show date
– Added issue report / feature request screen
– Fixed typo in setting screen

From this version, My Package requires iOS 6.0 or later. So far, We didn’t observe major problem with iOS 7. If you hit an issue with iOS 7, please let us know. We will continue working on iOS7 support to give best package tracking experience on the latest system/device.

I would like to announce “My Package” version 2.0 is finally available. First, I apologize it takes so much time to update this version. It supposed to be out last year but I spend many times to find out the effective solution for push notification.

Yes, version 2.0 supports push notification. In “My Package” application, I set a limitation that 30 tracking items per month can be enabled for push notification. I think most of people are enough with this number. If you are heavy online shopper or sending packages as business, please unlock the limitation through in-app purchase or buy “My Package Pro” app.

Please note that “My Package” can be same as “My Package Pro” after buying all In-App purchase options. However, some of new features will be provided as another in-app purchase option for “My Package” while “My Package Pro” user can upgrade for free. So, if you want to unlock more than 1 feature, going with “My Package Pro” will be the better choice for the future.

My Package 1.5.0

“My Package” 1.5.0 is released. Most notable change is adding toolbar in the main screen. It provides batch update checker and shortcut to the new package editing screen. Now you can check the updates even in the main screen without going back and forth.

I planned it was released late July but the changes were much harder than I thought. I will try to catch up version 2.0 development schedule as much as possible and it will be released hopefully at the same time as iOS 5 release.

“My Package” 1.4.0 is hit on the App Store. Application is changed its name due to the claim about trademark infringement. Since I wanted to keep previous name as much as possible and could not find nice replacement for “where’s”, it just became “My Package”. “track” or “locate” were candidates but they are already used in somewhere. (Maybe I am too worried about involving the similar problem …)

Anyway, along with the name change. I fixed one big bug which is not-working Edit button in the package list screen in some cases. This was introduced long time ago and was never discovered until recently. Also some code optimization was done in this release.

I am also working on the 1.5.0 release to support batch status update. And supporting push notification and DHL carrier support are coming in version 2.0.0.

Current plan is 1.5.0 will be out late July and 2.0 will be out about the same time of iOS 5 (this fall, I think in September).

And coincidentally, The app “My Package” becomes 1 year old today. Thanks for your support!

My Package 1.3.2 is released. As the version number indicates, this is a maintenance release to fix the small problems.

Fixed the problem of space included tracking number (spaces will be truncated)
Fixed showing tracking item detail after viewing iAd

I am working on the capabilities of supporting push service in this application. Still hard to tell it can be done with current limited budget. Please give me a time to find a way.

My Package 1.3.1 is just hit on the iTunes store.

As the version number indicates, this version is for the bug fix. Most notable fix is showing up red direction arrows on zoomed map. I did a kind of trick to show up arrows but Apple’
s API would not return expected result (in some cases) since iOS 4.2. I catch up to use new and official API for iOS 4 devices to show them correctly.

And this version also has a little UI enhancements. Can someone find them?
