Thank you so much to our incredible managers Leland and Lisa, as well as Bill, alongside Dakota, Dave, and additional staff for multiple recent upgrades. The spring behind Castle is being diverted, allowing the mud behind Long Tom and adjacent to Castle to dry. We hope to potentially utilize it for additional purposes at our new Vault Toilet centrally located on the premises. A new retaining wall has been installed behind Long Tom to protect the north side of the building, particularly in the winter. We also have new logs replacing the Southeast side of the pool, completing a revamp of the top layer of logs and matching the beautiful stained style of the rest of the pool. Things are looking great as the weather cools. Come join us!

Leland, Lisa, and Bill have been busy this Spring and Summer! They recently finished building a new outhouse between Hornet’s Nest and the old Hotel. This will replace the outhouse for Castle and provide a more convenient location for users of the central cabins including Hornet’s Nest, Long Tom, Broken Wing, and Tackle en route to the pool.

Winterizing, repairing, and renovating the cabins continues, with Mary, Margaret, Marie, and First Cabin recently completed.

Things are cooler at 6100 feet! Come pay us a visit.

Burgdorf is opening the pool for the 2024 season Saturday, May 25th!

The summer season of 2024 is almost here! Burgdorf Hot Springs will be open for day swims starting Saturday, May 25th. Our cabins will be available to be booked starting Saturday, June 1st. Remember to please make your reservations prior to arrival as we are intending on having a busy season. The caretakers have been working hard this spring. Come on up to Burgdorf to see all of the new improvements Leland, Lisa and Bill have been working on. See you soon!

Thanks for a great summer!
With the assistance of our new employee, Bill, our incredible caretakers Leland and Lisa have made a myriad of improvements to the grounds. They have updated Busby, with insulation, chinking, and stain, making a great cabin even better. There are many new logs around the pool, with a new vault toilet, a stout new bridge over the outflow creek, and a new greenhouse. Fall is one of the best times to pay us a visit!

Proof of COVID vaccination no longer required for entry

Over the last two years of navigating the COVID pandemic, the owners of Burgdorf have been committed to public safety and upholding policies in line with medical science and CDC guidelines as they evolve and our medical understanding increases . Currently reduced masking guidelines from the CDC in areas with low transmission rates, coupled with increased immunity and low risk of outdoor transmission has led us to ease our proof of vaccination requirement policy at least during times of lower transmission rate.

While we hope everyone has chosen to become vaccinated and we strongly support and encourage universal full vaccination, we are no longer requiring proof of vaccination for both cabin guests and swimmers. In an effort to maintain tranquility, we are continuing to offer limited bookings and swims, and require online reservations for cabins and swims made through the burgdorfhotsprings.com website and available under “Book Now” on this page.

Only those patrons with prior reservations will have access to the property, and we do not accept walk-ins. We have limited staff, performing other necessary tasks, and do not regularly man the phone. Please respect our small staff as we navigate these policy changes, and have patience as we work to update all of our information on our website for our guests, and strive to maintain personal time for our live-in staff. We sincerely hope we can all get safely back to a more relaxed time.

Open for Summer/Fall 2022

Burgdorf Hot Springs is currently open for Summer/Fall 2022. Prior reservations and COVID vaccination are required for entry to Burgdorf, no drop-ins will be accepted due to capacity limitations. We are currently accepting reservations up to 90 days out – please visit our “Book Now” button, email, or call to make your reservation.

For the safety of our staff and vulnerable guests, we are continuing to require proof of COVID vaccination from all guests (both cabins and soaks) due to the rising case rates in Idaho and the emergence of more variants sweeping the country. When we can modify this policy we will post an announcement and update our website information.

Burgdorf Hot Springs is open by RESERVATION ONLY to cabin guests and limited day soaks. No walk-ins. In order to provide safety to our cabins guests, day guests and employees we ask that you do not ride through gate or stop in for snacks unless you have a prior reservation 24 hours in advance. Please check availability by clicking on “Book Now.” If you do stop in, we will kindly ask that you leave if you do not have a reservation. We have limited staffing and ask for grace and patience as we navigate reopening for day soaks during a global pandemic. All guests must provide proof of COVID19 vaccination. If booking a day soak, please arrive on time and leave at scheduled time to limit guest interactions. There is no swimsuit or towel rentals, please bring your own.
