Always asking me to expand my awareness, my skill set, my ability to listen with my senses and intuition. Paying it forward, they seize the “undiscovered opportunities” life has to offer by expanding and expressing themselves more than ever and writing inspiring essays such as this one. The circle turns into an upward spiral. Thank you!

Thanks.

Comment on Thank You Granny! by Patrick Dunkley http://daringways.com/thank-you-granny/#comment-306 Tue, 13 Nov 2018 00:42:09 +0000 http://daringways.com/?p=176#comment-306 I remember Granny. I didn’t get to see her as much. Just a few times really, since we live in Missouri. The couple times I remember being young there, it seemed to always be winter. Although it was warmer in Missouri. I remember sleeping upstairs with Bung and Bobbie Lynn , and it was cold! We peed in a coffe can do we didn’t have to get out of bed long! And when we woke there was frost on the inside of the tin roof. I thought it was great! Obviously Granny isn’t your typical grandmother. She also smoked and drank a lot of……coffee! Ha! I remember coming down stairs and she would be smoking her own rolled cigarette and drinking coffee. Now some people might think that that is awful! Not at all!! That’s my Granny! Then, as you say, would come those pancakes! She made mine with bananas if she had some. I guess that’s where we get our love for pancakes. As I remember we both made some awesome ones when you and your family visited us not long ago. Thanks Granny! We love you and miss you!
Thanks for the heart warming read Neal. Always good!

Some of my fondest memories are the times I spent at my Grandparents place. There is something about Grandmothers, they just let you be a kid and they are always supportive.

Sounds like Granny let you be you and find out what you’re really made of.

Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely. And sometimes it’s as simple as just sharing your time with someone. Thanks for your comment.
