The event will be 4 days packed with converstaions, presentations, and unique opportunities to network and share ideas for the coming year. The San Francisco Carbon Collaborative has been granted provisional observer status for the United Nations Framework Conventation on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The admission will be finalized at this year's Conference of Parties 17 (COP 17) in Durban, South Africa. This year, COP 17 will be closely tracked as it comes down to the wire for nations to agree on a post-Kyoto treaty to manage climate change. The SFCC is excited and honored to have been selected to participate in this event as an observer.

EcoAnalytics, member of the San Francisco Carbon Collaborative, is featured in a blog post for Forbes by Michael Tobias. The article discusses EcoAnalytics, together with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, being awarded funding by the USDA's Conservation Innovation Greenhouse Gas Grant. The $1.226 million award will go toward adapting forest carbon protocols to include projects on tribal lands.

October 4, 2010 - San Francisco Carbon Collaborative partner Energy Resource Management Corp. (EnergyRM) along with The Center for American Progress have released the paper: "Efficiency Works: Creating Good Jobs and New Markets Through Energy Efficiency." The paper, highlighted on a conference call by Sen. Harry Reid on Sept. 7, estimates that energy efficiency mandates could result in the creation of 625,000 jobs in the U.S.
