1.Very Experienced Drivers
Since us Aardvark Colchester airport transfer drivers spend most of our time at the airport, we are very familiar with the different terminals and which airlines are at which terminal and at what times. Our knowledge about airport pick up and drop off services will make your Airport Transfer less stressful.
2. We save you time
Money can’t buy time but it can definitely help you save some. The good thing about Aardvark Travel is that we’ll bring you right to your place of destination, minus the side trips. Our drivers are also well-versed in shortcuts to avoid traffic. Compared to taking an airport shuttle (where there are also other passengers that need to be picked up and dropped off), an Aardvark Travel Colchester Airport Transfer can bring you exactly where you want with no stops in between.

DID YOU KNOW
Aardvarks are found throughout sub-Saharan Africa. The aardvark’s name comes from the Afrikaans/Dutch language and means “earth pig,” according to National Geographic. Though they do eat ants — so they are technically “ant eaters” — aardvarks are a separate species from anteaters, which are found in South America

As Aardvark Travel do every year, we will not be sending out Christmas cards, instead, we will be donating £30 to a worthy cause. This year we have chosen to support the team from Colchester Community First Responders. Richard’s father Dennis Ford and his brother Martin Ford give up their spare time for this and they have saved lives and helped numerous people but they are in real need for funding to continue this voluntary service. They will be in Colchester High Street tomorrow, December 3rd so if you see them please say hello and give what you can. Hopefully my friends you will never need their services but it’s good to know they are out there.
Community first responders are volunteers who are trained by the NHS to attend certain types of emergency calls in the area where they live or work.
Their aim is to reach a potential life threatening emergency in the first vital minutes before the ambulance crew arrives.
Their role is to help stabilise the patient and provide the appropriate care until the more highly skilled ambulance crew arrives on scene to take over the treatment.
Please help by showing support to your local community.

Do you love Christmas as much as us? We’d leave our office tree up all year round if we could! We love this time of year the most and we love it when our customers do too! Christmas for us starts off by visiting some Christmas Markets.
Christmas can be very stressful and the thought of venturing out of your hometown with the family to visit a Christmas Market can be daunting. Where do I park? What if parking is full? How much will it cost? I hate driving in London and on the motorways! How much will the train cost for the whole family!? All valid questions that we can help resolve. Let Aardvark Travel remove all the hassle with our stress-free, door-to-door taxi service.
Aardvark Travel are long distance specialists and are based in Colchester, Essex, offering taxi services all over the UK. The perfect choice to transport you and your family or friends to your favourite Christmas Market.
We love Christmas and our customers so much that we’ve even put a handy list together of our favourite Christmas Markets, to help you make that important decision!
Christmas in London is so exciting and there are tons of Christmas Markets to choose from. It was a tough decision to pick only one in London so we’ve narrowed it down to two.
Southbank Centre Winter Market – November 14 – December 30 at Royal Festival Hall Riverside.
We can personally vouch for this one as we went there last year (day off work of course) and enjoyed the Rekorderlig Lounge, open fire pits and Swedish meatballs. This year you’ll be able to enjoy mulled wine in one of the cosy bars and apparently there is going to be a Finnish sauna on the roof terrace! If mulled wine is not for you then you can enjoy a hot chocolate overlooking the Thames, or get away from the cold and visit the Scandinavian Rooftop Bar and relax with a warming Nordic drink.

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland – November 17 – Jan 1
Well what can we say about this one?! If you haven’t yet visited then you definitely need to, this year. We make this a priority every year and are often dropping our customers to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. Why do we love this Christmas Market so much? Because there’s something for everyone. Not only are there over 200 bavarian style chalets selling Christmas souvenirs and decorations, food, treats and drinks, there’s also a host of Christmas activities and attractions to enjoy too! There’s shows, ice skating, live music, fairground rides including a
Giant Observation Wheel, circus and a new addition to this year is the private Bar Hutte’s where you and your group can get served food and drink and enjoy ‘Carol-oke’ in your own private area.
Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre – November 23 – 26
We’ve never been to this one but we’ve heard some great reviews. If any of our customers have been we’d love to know your thoughts!? We’ve added this one to our bucket list as there’s so much going on and it’s only up the road from us!
There are over 300 stalls, historical stalls in Moyse’s Hall Museum, a Christmas Bazaar in St Edmundbury Cathedral and the traditional street market. Perfect place for Christmas Shopping!
There’s lots of entertainment too! Over the four days, there are 3 different locations offering entertainment – The Green King Stage on Angel Hill, The Hart Stage in The Traverse and the performance area in St John’s Street. Bury St Edmunds based ICE Cook School will be running the ICE Cookery Theatre showcasing live cookery demonstrations by a number of local and nationally renowned chefs.
