Brianna Mercado is a professional dance artist born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 2013, where she studied Social Welfare, Dance, and Performance Studies. Then 2 weeks later, she bought a one-way plane ticket to New York City to live out her dancing dreams. So far, no regrets. Since her move, Bri has worked with notable choreographers from New York to Los Angeles, and has performed at Broadway Underground, danced onstage at a Phish concert, and even gave her own TED talk. She is honored to be a part of the Humans Collective this year – to dance with a bigger purpose. Bri embodies her belief that inside every impossible situation there is an opportunity to be great, and no real reason to wait. If there is more to learn, someone to love, something to give, and things to do, then do them, now.

Carlos Neto has focused his training on Hip-Hop, Locking and House Dance in America, the UK and Scandinavia since 2004. After moving to London in 2009, Carlos has choreographed for Warner Brothers, George Sampson, winner of Season 2 of Britain’s Got Talent, Russian celebrity Sergey Lazarev, the Broadway and London productions of Circolombia, The Fringe in NYC, ITV’s Got To Dance and adverts for brands such as Samsung and L’Oreal. He was one of the performers in the first cast of the Dutch Show Blaze the world tour and was cast in the role of ‘Sudsy’ in the West End hit show “Some Like It Hip Hop.” Carlos played the role of John Travolta’s in the Nintendo video game “Grease” and was also featured in Playstation’s Worldwide Success “Dance Star Party.” He was appointed the Creative Director for the World Of Dance UK in 2011, one of the biggest dance competitions in the world. Carlos recently won the “Outstanding Choreography and Movement” award by The New York Innovative Theatre Awards 2014.

Daphne Macy is a New York based actress and writer. She has been drawn to storytelling for as long as she can remember herself, participating in many theater and film productions. She is a graduate of the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Her short play, Homesick, was produced and later adapted into a short film that was shot in August 2014. Her short screenplay, Paper Dolls, went on to be screened in festivals and on TV. A third script of hers was also recently produced, and she is currently workshopping a full length play entitled Private Moments.

Elisabet Velasquez was born in Bushwick, Brooklyn at the height of the crack epidemic. She lived with her mom and her siblings in a low income, drug-ridden, run-down apartment building that was often raided by the police. She is the fourth born of six siblings, four of whom are diagnosed with a mental illness. As poverty, drugs and mental illness all seemed to close in around her; Elisabet started writing as a means to flee a world that otherwise had no escape. In 2009 she began performing under the stage name Ms. Sick Prose; a name she chose to describe her writing about a sick environment that she could escape from through her writing. Velasquez began performing at the legendary Nuyorican Poets Café and in 2009 earned a spot on the coveted Nuyorican National Slam Team for which she helped achieve fourth place in the Nation. She is a mother of two children whom she refers to as her best poems to date. Velasquez has performed on various stages and universities around the country, including Rutgers University, Williams College, and Aldephi University.
