From festivals and concerts to cozy restaurants, and wide-open streets with fewer crowds, winter is one of the best times to experience the charm of our Ozark mountain town.

There really is no bad time to visit Eureka Springs, AR. Even when we’re not hosting a festival of some kind, there are a many year ’round attractions worth visiting. Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, Intrigue Theater, War Eagle Mill, Christ of the Ozarks, and so many others.

Those looking to hit the trail will also find plenty of options. Popular locations like  Lake Leatherwood City Park, Black Bass Lake, Hobbs State Park, Kettle Falls, Dogwood Trail at Beaver Lake, and the list goes on.

OzMoMu – Ozark Mountain Music Festival 2026 – Jan 15-18.
This popular, four-day event is one of the area’s most cherished winter traditions. 32 bands performing American roots, modern folk, and bluegrass, on multiple stages, in the heart of the Ozarks.

ESP – Eureka Springs Paranormal Weekend – Jan 23-24.
This 48-hour experience is led by the ghost tour team of the Crescent Hotel, one of the most haunted hotels in the country. Includes behind-the-scenes access, hospitality breaks, and a limited and optional Lockdown Night on Thursday, January 22.

Eureka Springs Mardi Gras 2026 – Jan 10, 17, 30-31, Feb 13-14.
The Eureka Springs Krewe of Krazo Mardi Gras season includes several events on as many dates and at a variety of venues. The big event, the Mardi Gras Day Parade is February 14, 2pm-4pm.

The Eureka Springs Auditorium – aka The Aud – is a beautiful, four-story limestone building on Main Street, just south of Basin Spring Park. Built in 1929, the historic performance space hosts a variety of events and attractions throughout the year. This is especially true around the holidays.
