Ben, these are great photos! I have been nerding out taking pictures of new bugs in my yard since I planted almost all natives in my yard. I have only been using my phone, but this is inspiring me to get serious about a camera upgrade. Thanks for posting! Carrie (I met you on the Los Padres Forest Watch bird walk, thanks again for coming and supporting LPFW!)

Hello–

Might anyone be able to speak to the salt tolerance of the J Caerulea? I would like to plant one, but being a few blocks from the Gulf, we are prone to storm surge. Also, does this grow to be a 20ft tree or a 40ft tree? Quite a bit of conflicting info on the internet.

In reply to Landon Fischer. Looks like a racer. We have souther black racers in florida. My car keeps bringing the babies in and i keep walking them all the way to the back of the property and release between the fences and the woods in the back. Super docile guys. Especially when they realize i am taking them to safety. Approval tongue flicks and all.
