Thanks, Carrie! I’m glad you’re taking an interest in the insects visiting your natives! I enjoyed our field trip at Cerro Alto last month.
]]>Might anyone be able to speak to the salt tolerance of the J Caerulea? I would like to plant one, but being a few blocks from the Gulf, we are prone to storm surge. Also, does this grow to be a 20ft tree or a 40ft tree? Quite a bit of conflicting info on the internet.
Thank you!
]]>Looks like a racer. We have souther black racers in florida. My car keeps bringing the babies in and i keep walking them all the way to the back of the property and release between the fences and the woods in the back. Super docile guys. Especially when they realize i am taking them to safety. Approval tongue flicks and all.
]]>Thanks, Judy! Oh, that reminds me–I’d better upload those photos to iNaturalist. I use Bugguide as well, which does a great job, but iNaturalist has so many more users it makes sense to cross-post.
