This episode of the Backyard Booking Podcast is dedicated to the late great Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. This man was one of the best color commentator of the 1980s and early 1990s, one of the best managers to grace professional wrestling. The Brain will never be replicated and is the reason we have amazing current commentators like Cory Graves, Jerry "The King" Lawler, Joey Styles, and Don West. He also paved the way for many heel managers to follow, the likes of Jim Cornette, Paul Heyman, JJ Dillion, James Mitchell, and Ted DiBiase Sr. Bobby Heenan was a fighter and was able to fight cancer to the bitter end but we all know he is now calling his own Wrestlemania's in heaven with Randy "Macho Man" Savage, "Hot Rod" Rowdy Roddy Piper, and Eddie Guerrero. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan was one of the greatest personalities and will never be replaced in the hearts of wrestling fans.

Today Jake and Thoma embark down the dark path of the infamous question, "Is Professional Wrestling fake?" A question wrestling fans have to answer, explain, and hear for the entirety of their lives. Jake and Thoma explain to you how the combat the neigh-sayers and non-believers why we have to suspend our disbelief to bare some of the god awful story-lines the current products deliver us week in and week out. This episode will dive head first into the terminology of professional wrestling, the inner workings of communications within the actual match, real life injuries due to messed up moves, how the stories told to us through pro-wrestling is similar to the entertainment you see in any other tv show, and the reason why kayfabe is dead. Suspend your disbelief with us and allow us to show you and explain why our answer of, "Pro-Wrestling, Is it fake?" Is accurate. This week's episode is a shorter one due to a slow week in wrestling news and not a ton of talking points. Jake and Thoma do discuss Shane McMahon's helicopter emergency landing, the little to none WWE news, the new WWE toys coming out, Thoma's murderous tyrant reign in Fallout 4, and the prediction/review of WWE Battleground!

We also discover what the sound of Thoma's Pop! Vinyl figures sound like when the fall onto Jake and how they both have major ADHD this episode getting side tracked through everything.

In the second episode of the 'Backyard Booking Podcast' Jake and Thoma present how their non-PPV oriented episodes will pan out. They go on endless rants about the current WWE product and rumors, current annoyances with the modern day fans and design choices the WWE goes with. They highlight the rumors circling the wrestling world with the relationship between Alberto El Patron and Paige. As well as Thoma's experience with the infamous Pooper running around his place of work. The two finish off with going over their competitors they are looking forward to in the Mae Young Classic.

Also announced this episode, Jake and Thoma will be hosting their first 'Top 5' on Episode 6 and it will cover their 'Top 5' favorite debuts in wrestling history. Episode 10 will have their first ever 'Top 10' that will highlight their favorite finishing maneuver in professional wrestling. They will also be covering the WWE's Mae Young Classic following WWE's releasing of the tournament.
