If you’ve been following the Avengers comics as of late, then you know that the Avengers 1,000,000 B.C. have figured in. The original team of “Avengers” is made up of many of the biggest forces in the Marvel U, though in a prehistoric state.
So, there’s no Doctor Strange, but there is Agamotto, the magic-wielder who the Eye is named for. It’s definitely weird, but it’s also a pretty cool idea. I’m not sure if the team could stand on their own, but as backup stories to the modern stuff, it kind of works. And either way, the designs are nifty, so there’s that.
As for the figures, those are hitting this week, and in the usual format. You’ll get two-packs including a pair of characters from the lineup, which is complete here as I can remember it.
They are:

Yes folks, MODOK is in this new wave. And that should be enough to get you interested. I mean, he’s a giant robotic (?) head with lil’ tiny legs. And he’s really nasty. Come on.
But… just in case you need further proof that this is a great wave, here’s the whole thing in detail:
None too shabby right there. You’ll be waiting a little while for this one though, as it’s not slated to arrive in store till April of 2018. Though I should mention that there are plenty of Marvel Minimates for you to add to your collection right now.
That one’s no slouch either, as it boasts two-packs featuring:
On top of those are the Thor Ragnarok ‘Mates (Thor, Loki, Grandmaster and Skurge), and the DC Vinimates, all of which is in stores currently. So there’s more than enough to add to your wish list.

Weird as it is to say, drugstore chain Walgreens has kind of become a hotbed for Marvel toys. They regularly get (really great) exclusive Marvel Legends figures from Hasbro, and the store’s exclusive line of Minimates has now reached a seventh wave.
Based on Marvel’s current slate of animated TV shows, the series has included almost every major Marvel Comics hero and villain that’s appeared on the small screen. It includes all of the shows too, from Avengers to Spider-Man.
And that brings us to today. Diamond Select Toys has just announced a brand-new fresh assortment. They’ve got some good timing too, as it comes just as series 6 of the little figures has started hitting. I’m already digging wave 7 just a bit more though, since it has a mecha-Cap in it. I mean, it’s Cap in some Iron Man-like armor. And you even get a little Baron Zemo in the pack with him. What’s not to like?
Have a look in the gallery below, and then mark your calendar. These figures are set to arrive in Walgreens stores around the first week of this coming December.

Taken from across Marvel’s modern slate of animated shows (on Disney XD), the diverse wave of characters that you see above are set to become available in Walgreen’s stores this Summer sometime. Also as you can see, four brand-new characters, never seen in plastic before, are included in with this freshly announced wave 2.5.
Here’s your breakdown:
While you can grab the above two-packs this Summer, we did say that there’s a series hitting as we speak. In your local Walgreens either now or very soon (they started shipping) are “Gamora and Drax from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy; Iron Spider and Taskmaster from Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man; and Black Widow, Thanos, Dark Thor and Dark Iron Man from Marvel’s Avengers Assemble”.
Each set mentioned will be sold in the usual two-pack fashion too, so keep that in mind as you plan out your purchases. One of the things I like most about Minimates is the twofer style of packaging. It’s pretty easy to build up a sizable (and cool-looking) collection in no time, and not spend a ton of dough doing it.
