Kin Cooperative is a financial mutual aid community saving platform. It allows members to create and join groups where they can pool their money together. The Kin platform is built using Drupal and CiviCRM. Some of the key features include:

Allow members to create and join community groups
Ability to create and track individual and group financial contributions
Automatic reconciling of offline BACS payments
Automatic reminder emails
Member and group dashboards where members can view payment histories and perform various actions

The Kin platform is based on traditional community savings clubs that have existed for centuries as a way to create economic power for communities.

Alphas Online Graduate Application System

Alphas Online Graduate Application System

This project was to develop a website application to allow small to medium sized companies based in Bedfordshire and adjacent areas to hire graduates for 400 hour placements which would be subsidised by the university. This project was funded by money from the European Union.

Companies that met the requirements were able to register and apply for grants including grants for candidate placements and other expenses. Candidates were able to register online and apply for roles that had been posted by the companies.

Different sets of data needed to be collected, and the overall aim of the system was to manage the companies and the candidates and the process of applying for uploaded vacancies. Overall the main components of the system included:

Ability for companies to register online and post vacancies
Allow graduates to register and apply for vacancies
Ability for administrators to manage the companies and graduates and the system as a whole
Have comprehensive backup systems in place
Strong secruity measures in place to prevent hacking and to ensure the secruity of the data

The Alpha's project was very similar to the Time2Grow project. I was able to re-use many of the already built components from Time2Grow for Alphas, saving development time and keeping the costs low.

This was a successful project that met all the requirements and the budget. There were very few issues which were all resolved very quickly.

Time2Grow Website and Online Application Management System

Time2Grow was a multi-million pound EU funded programme designed to help businesses solve some of their most challenging problems by accessing a skilled graduate workforce. This project was managed by the University of Bedfordshire with support from the University of Northampton.

This project was to administer undergraduate placements at local small to medium sized businesses. Candidates were able to register online as were businesses. Administrators were then able to match candidates with businesses for work placements.

I built the system using the Drupal content management system. The website and application system included:

Facility for candidates to register their details on the sytem as well as updating them when they needed to
Ability for businesses to register placements they had available
Detailed information capture for candidates and businesses
Automated administrative processes such as acknowledging registrations, notifying administrators of new registrations or changes of key information
Ability for administrators to view lists of candidates and businesses, carry out searches or filter lists based on specfic criteria
Different levels of permission for different types of users
Integration with Salesforce
Adherence to strict data secruity requirements

This was a highly complex project that was perfect for a Drupal system which has the flexibility to meet all of the project requirements.

CRASH are a charity working for the homeless in the construction industry. They needed to have a rigurous application process for organisations applying for funding. The application process needed to:

Capture and keep records of all the applicants and their details
Allow applicants to create their own accounts
Allow applicants to save their application without submitting, and then come back to continue their application later on
Upload multiple images and store data of different types
Provide a record of the data to the applicants and to the administrators
Provide an intuitive and simple interface

The online application website was built using Drupal 10. Drupal 10 allowed the website to be built in a short timeframe and meeting all the project requirements. The website itself needed to be styled in the same way as the main CRASH website. This project was to replace the existing application process to make it even more user friendly.

This project was to create a online search tool to find End of Life care in the Bedford area. There was a need to be able to search by different criteria such as adult or child care, region and the type of support needed. This project was in partnership with the University of Bedfordshire. I used Drupal 10 to create the website and online database. It is very easy for administrators to add on new entries. The key features of the website include:

Built using Drupal 10
Ability to search by adult or child care, location and support type
Mapping functionality included (shows a map of the location)
Easy for admins to add in new care providers
Ability to create new services and update their descriptions

Marchini Architecture asked me to create a new website for them. I developed the website using the Drupal content management system. This was an interesting project as it needed to effectively display the many images they have for their architectural projects. The website, as well as being mobile friendly, was structured to improve its search engine performance, particularly relating to location. The main highlights of the project were:

Effective display of project photos
Clear organisation of content
Mobile optimisation
Search engine optimisation
Ability for client to manage all the content

I developed the website using Drupal 8 which allows the client to have full control over all of the content. This was a straight forward website to create providing information only.

WFTO is an international fair trade organisation. They work to provide a guarantee that their member organisations adhere to their fair trade principles. I have managed and developed both the WFTO website and their system for managing their members. The WFTO website is built using Drupal and they use the CiviCRM customer relationship management system to manage their members. WFTO also have an extensive members area where members can access and update their own details. WFTO also use the CRM system to record all their member interactions, produce reports, send out member emails and more. Some of the key services I have provided include:

I was asked to create a E-commerce membership website for MHRA Deficiencies. This was a website which allowed members to have access to specific Pharmaceutical data. The key elements of the website project were:

Members area with access to pharmaceutical data
Online payment for monthly subscription
Custom structured pharmaceutical data
Ability for members to filter and search for data in various ways
Display of charts based on the data
News area
Ability for client to update all areas of the website
Professional design
Optimised for mobile and handheld devices
Full regular automated backups

I created the website using the Drupal content management system. The most challenging part of the website was to get the recurring subscription for members to work seamlessly and reliably. As well as developing the website I set up all the hosting on a virtual server.
