A Fond Farewell: Moving On and Embracing New Beginnings
We called it home for the past 7 years. 1466 Rocky Point Drive served as a beacon of collaboration, progression, and connection, as we have been fortunate to build relationships and build homes with many, while we operated our day-to-day office in the Show Home.
As our time draws to a close in our beloved Show Home, we reflect on the memories made, the moments cherished, and the unparalleled experiences that have defined our journey here. From the lasting impression of its architecture to the warmth of its interiors, it has been more than just a home to us—it has been an accomplishment, a sense of pride, a haven of comfort and elegance that has defined AuthenTech Homes in the way we build homes.
But as one chapter closes, another begins. We are thrilled to announce that we will soon be moving to our new show home in Hidden Hills, set to open its doors this Summer 2024. Nestled within an exclusive area, our upcoming NetZero Show Home promises to embody the same spirit of luxury and refinement that has defined our current Show Home. With meticulously crafted design and exquisite features, our new show home will offer a glimpse into the future of luxury living—a world where elegance meets innovation, and where every detail is a testament to the art of refined living.

On January 18, 2024 we were a proud presenter at the Fortis BC and Wilden Development Group – “Net Zero Now” event. From seasoned professionals to curious enthusiasts, the attendees shared a common goal: to unravel the secrets of building homes that not only tread lightly on the planet but also prioritize the well-being of their occupants. As we shift towards cleaner and more sustainable homes, innovation is at the forefront of creating energy-efficient homes with cleaner energy solutions and building materials. AuthenTech Homes is a leading home builder in the Okanagan that is achieving Net Zero step code building construction. One of the highlights of the event was the showcase of pioneering technologies and design strategies aimed at achieving net-zero energy consumption. Solar panels, energy-efficient appliances, cleaner mechanical systems, advanced insulation techniques, and smart home systems were just a few of the innovations on display. These elements underscored the multifaceted approach required to create truly sustainable living spaces, which is being described as the Integrated Design Process. By bringing everyone together at the beginning, we can achieve building a cleaner and more sustainable home.

AuthenTech Homes was the big winner on Saturday night during the 30th annual Okanagan Housing Awards of Excellence. The company behind the Wilden Living Lab’s Next Generation Home captured five awards in all during the Canadian Home Builders’ Association-Central Okanagan gala.
“The Okanagan is a breeding ground for housing excellence, ” AuthenTech Homes president Scott Tyerman said. “It is great to have an awards program to showcase these innovations to the rest of Canada. I am grateful to the CHBA-CO for the opportunity to have received recognition through the years.”
AuthenTech Homes was named the large volume builder of the year, and it also won for excellence in creating a feature/innovation in a home, environmental initiative, public or private partnership, and custom certified home.
“The Okanagan Housing Awards of Excellence showcase the execptional talent and dedication of our building, renovation and design community in creating innovation and sustainable housing solutions for our region,” CHBA-CO president Darren Witt said. “I am proud to recognize the outstanding achievments of our memebers and the positive impact they have on the Okanagan’s economy, environment and quality of life.”

This award was presented to Scott for his many years of service to the housing industry.
