The BTHC Foundation hosted its Annual General Meeting on Monday, June 22nd. Guests heard from Dana Human, CEO of Southern Health-Santé, as well as Joel Nelson, Director of Health Services at Boundary Trails Health Centre. It was also an opportunity to hear from Justin Majeau, Spiritual Care Coordinator, and Eunice Suderman and Jerri-Ann Froese, representing Palliative Care and our volunteers.
Chair Brent Menzies shared highlights from the 2025-2026 fiscal year. It was also an opportunity to thank outgoing board members, Ben Friesen, Ernie Penner, Bob McCulloch, and medical representative Dr. Don Klassen for their years of service on the Board and their expertise.

The Boundary Trails Health Centre Foundation is holding its 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 on Monday, June 22nd at 7 pm.

The Altona Curling Club is welcoming Kurling for Kids back for its second year. Building on last year’s success, this one day, “fun”spiel raises money for the BTHC Foundation and the emerging pediatric department at the hospital. The event is coming up Saturday, March 7th and open to curlers of all ages and abilities.

What does a K4K bonspiel look like?

• Individual curler registration is $75. Curlers are asked to raise a minimum of $200.

• Each team is guaranteed 2-6 end games.

• Lunch and supper provided.

• There will be fundraiser incentives, as well as 50/50 and prize raffle tickets for purchase.

Kurling 4 Kids is a Quebec-based charity, that organizes curling tournaments and other events to benefit children’s hospitals. Fundraising events like this year’s Kurling for Kids bonspiel continue to be essential for children’s hospitals, giving families, friends, and supporters the chance to make a real impact on the lives of children in need. The Foundation was excited to introduce a new element to the evening – “Spiked Bags”, sponsored by Appelt’s Diamonds. Each bag was packed with local goodies and coupons. Only 100 bags were available to purchase and five of them were “SPIKED” with a pair diamond earrings, valued at $499, donated by Appelt’s. The bags were so popular, they sold out in under 30 minutes!

August 14th was incredible day at Minnewasta! Thanks to our amazing sponsors and players, our 25th anniversary tournament was record-breaking, raising over $110,000 for life-saving equipment and compassionate care at BTHC. Thank you!
