We hope you all had a lot of fun during the 11th edition of the IPT this year in Lausanne, whether you were a spectator through our (ever growing) live stream, a participants or came as an invited jury member.
This year the final was hotly contested, but eventually The two French teams secured the 1st and 2nd place with Ecole Polytechnique clinching the gold medal. Ukraine (Kharkiv) made a fantastic effort, coming in third. Elsewhere, for the first time, Colombia made a presence in the semi final with particularly strong showings, especially in the reviewer role. You can see the final results below:
A big thank you to Evgenii Glushkov and Jean-Philippe Ansermet and their team for organising such an amazing conference for us this year! Keep tuned to find out who the host for the next edition is!

The semi-finals, which will happen tomorrow morning, will gather teams 2 vs. 5 vs. 6 and teams 3 vs. 4 vs. 7 (according to the ranks after the PF #4).
After the Semifinals, on morning of 26th of April there will be the Grand Finale that should be live streamed on IPT YouTube channel! It will gather the first team of the general ranking after 4 Physics Fights (Universite de Lyon) and the two best teams after the Semifinals.
What would be your bets?

We’re looking forward to seeing you here in Lausanne!
]]>The problems for the IPT 2019 edition are out and ready to do battle with! Go ahead and check them out on the dedicated webpage.
Participants will have time until spring next year to solve these problems. The number of seats in the tournament is not yet decided, so it may be that you will have to fight it out in a pre-selection stage to decide who goes to Switzerland and who watches the IPT from home! And an important reminder: 2018 finalists have pre-reserved seats as usual (Switzerland, France and Brazil).
