Brontë Country Landmarks giclée print - FREE UK POSTAGE - £30.00

Sat, 04 Apr 2026 12:26:15 +0000

Three landmarks of Brontë Country, the area named after the Brontë Sisters: Top Withins - a ruined farmhouse on the moor, said to be the inspiration for Wuthering Heights; the Stoop Stone - a boundary stone on Haworth Moor; and Ponden Clough, a steep-sided ravine and another local Brontë landmark. Along with their literary associations, these locations are notable for being on the routes of three local fell races: Withins Skyline, The Stoop, and Stanbury Splash. It is for these races that I was originally commissioned to create this work. There are two versions of the print, simply select your preferred version from the drop down: LANDMARKS - has the text 'Top Withins', 'The Stoop Stone', and 'Ponden Clough' names under each image; and RACE NAMES - has 'Withins Skyline', 'The Stoop', and 'Stanbury Splash'. This is a vibrant & high-quality digital print on heavyweight semi-textured paper. The print is 42cm x 26cm with plenty of space around the artwork for ease of framing. It is stamped and signed on the back. This print is sold unframed, and is sent carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue, then bagged and rolled inside a sturdy cardboard tube. I am offering FREE UK postage for this print on its own (however if you spend £60, you can also use the code FREE60 for free UK postage on your whole order). Make Art Not War - Random one of a kind screen print - £10.00

Mon, 02 Feb 2026 15:26:38 +0000

MAKE ART NOT WAR. The molotov cocktail is often used as a symbol of revolution and protest. As someone who hates violence, my place in the ongoing struggle against authoritarianism and warmongering is to make art. Perhaps you feel the same. These prints are made by printing a layer of black ink over cuttings from 'test prints' - the sheets made up of multiple random test layers from various print jobs over the years. I can't throw this stuff away so I like to think up ways to turn them into something more complete looking. These prints are approx. 17 x 13cm and the random test print goodness showing through is completely unique on every print - some of the layers are very old and there is likely to be other random bits of ink and test layers on the reverse. The images show the sort of thing you can expect - some are very bright, some more subtle... This listing is for a RANDOM print - HOWEVER feel free to leave a note with your order saying if you'd prefer a specific colour, or if you have a preference for bright, or subtle, or whatever. No guarantees I can meet these criteria but I will do my best! And if the print arrives and it's not the one you were hoping for, please gift it to a friend. As well as art, it's also good to make friends not war. Shipping: This print will be sent out rolled inside a sturdy cardboard tube. Spend £60 and use code FREE60 for free UK postage. Thanks for looking! Be sure to read my Shop Info before ordering and please get in touch if you have any questions. © Graham Pilling / Army of Cats Creative Studio 2026 all rights reserved

Thu, 29 Jan 2026 14:24:35 +0000

A lone astronaut drifts towards a giant skull just floating in space. Is it dead? Is it alive? Is it sculpted from the rock of an ancient asteroid? Spaceskull is truly a psychedelic mystery. I can't throw this stuff away so I like to think up ways to turn them into something more complete looking. Pay as You Feel Tip for the Artist - £2.00

Mon, 03 Nov 2025 13:18:17 +0000

Hello and thanks for visiting my shop - I hope you've found something you like. If you're purchasing a print and it's within your financial means to do so, I'd love it if you considered adding a tip onto your order. I've set the price at £2 but feel free to add this 'item' x2 or x3 etc. to round it off to whatever amount you feel you'd like to chuck in. The costs of being a working artist are constantly going up, so this is a way for me to cover some of that and still keep my work affordable for the majority of people who support me. Absolutely no pressure on whether you do or don't add a tip on - a sale on it's own is always really appreciated. Cheers and thanks for the support! -G

Los Campesinos! - Green Man A2 Sikscreen Concert Poster - £35.00

Tue, 23 Sep 2025 14:20:00 +0000

I designed and printed this poster for Los Campesinos!' performance at Green Man Festival. These sold out at the festival itself but the band have very kindly granted me permission to do a reprint. As this is a bit of a bonus edition, I'll be donating some of the profits from these sales to 2 different charities: The Trussell Trust and Medical Aid for Palestinians. Here's the blurb about my approach with this artwork: It's rare I draw people in my posters -- but LC!'s music is all about people, friendships and community. Their music has a brilliant way of evoking the stories that come out of the relationships, celebrations, and everyday struggles of people's lives. That feeling of youthful energy that you get from loving your friends, loving music and community, contrasted with feelings of powerlessness and despair at the corruption and inequality of the systems surrounding us... I had this idea pop into my head of someone stranded in life, trapped in by crumbling support structures as much as supported by them, dreaming of what life might be down the road. A little bit lonely and still figuring things out. I think we've all been there, I know I have. I hope this conjours a feeling that resonates. This is a 4 colour screenprint, A2 sized, and will be signed and numbered at the bottom as well as marked '2nd Printing'. --- Shipping: This gig poster is sent carefully bagged and rolled inside a sturdy cardboard tube. Spend £60 and use code FREE60 for free UK postage. Thanks for looking! SQUID - End of the Road 2025 - A2 silkscreen concert poster - £30.00

Mon, 15 Sep 2025 21:02:39 +0000

Screenprinted poster for experimental art rockers SQUID who performed at End of the Road Festival 2025. Their music feels to me like the band members are creating a sort of musical collage, each responding to motifs previously laid down, and not afraid to follow something weird or interesting if it feels right. To create a visual response for the poster, I wanted to pull something from my subconscious and not over-engineer. I keep sketchbooks and a reoccurring exercise I've found myself doing is filling shapes with textures made up of different cross hatching and brush strokes. I pulled a few of these out and tried to arrange them with the text in a way that was spontaneous but felt satisfying to me. And this is the end result. I printed these myself, 2 colours but that red is just the right amount of semi-transparent. A2 sized, the edition is of 50, Signed and numbered at the bottom. --- Shipping: This gig poster is sent carefully bagged and rolled inside a sturdy cardboard tube. Spend £60 and use code FREE60 for free UK postage. Thanks for looking! Richard Dawson - Deer Shed Festival 2025 - silkscreen concert poster - £35.00

Sun, 14 Sep 2025 20:22:31 +0000

Screenprinted poster for Richard Dawson's performance at Deer Shed Festival, North Yorkshire, 2025. I love Rich's way of capturing the absurdity, gravitas and wonder of seemingly ordinary moments in life, often very specific little British vignettes and rituals - putting the kettle on; drizzly Sunday league football matches; walking to the corner shop to buy the papers; pottering in the garden, etc. Gardens and allotments often pop up in his songs, so I set about designing the least rock n roll poster of all time by drawing a relaxed depiction of a sleepy allotment and it's associated bits and pieces. Then I received the following brilliant feedback from Richard: "Needs a goblin." I was very pleased with this response and happy to oblige. A very ordinary looking scene but with something a bit weird and discordant going on in the fringes, just a slight sense of something being fantastical... I think that ends up being a perfect summary of Rich's wonderful music and storytelling. I printed these myself, 4 colours, at a slightly smaller than A2 size (52 x 36cm), in a very limited numbered edition of 40. Signed and numbered at the bottom. There is exactly *one* goblin hidden in the allotment and if you happen to spot any more, then that's on you. --- Shipping: This gig poster is sent carefully bagged and rolled inside a sturdy cardboard tube. Spend £60 and use code FREE60 for free UK postage. Thanks for looking! Nine Standards - 8 Colour Silkscreen Landscape Print - £140.00

Mon, 20 Mar 2023 14:55:21 +0000

The Nine Standards are a row of large stone cairns that sit prominently atop Hartley Fell, on the edge of Cumbria. Visiting on a hazy winter’s morning provided me with quite an eerie experience. Very still and with no-one else around, the Nine Stone Men seemed to have a disctinct presence and I had the strangest feeling that they were aware of my approach. This experience is what I have chosen to capture in my print, looking up at the ancient stones from the last stretch of path. 'Nine Standards' is an 8 colour screenprint, hand-printed with water based inks on 300gsm, acid free, Canaletto Velino art grade paper. Each print comes with a map & signed certificate of authenticity. It's a very limited edition of 30 and is numbered, titled, signed, and embossed at the bottom. It is approx 412 x 412 mm in size. This print is sold unframed, and is sent carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue, then bagged and rolled inside a sturdy cardboard tube. UK Postage is included in the price of this print. NOTE 1: due to the complexity of this print, there are tiny variations throughout the edition. In particular there are differences in the sky layer (as this was printed with an ink blend) - the prominence of the band of pink colour accross the top differs from print to print. I have not included any print in the edition which I was not happy with but if you have any concerns please drop me a line and I'd be happy to provide a preview photo of the print prior to sending. Thank you for understanding. NOTE 2: in an effort to encourage people to explore and care for amazing outdoor spaces, anyone who visits The Nine Standards after purchasing a print and sends me a photo to show they were there will receive something special in the post. Please plan your travels responsibly. :) ---- Thanks for looking! Descending Blencathra - 11 colour silkscreen landscape print - £160.00

Fri, 05 Aug 2022 13:44:13 +0000

Blencathra, also known as Saddleback, is the 14th highest mountain in the northern Lake District. It is said the name means ‘the summit of the seat-like mountain’ in the ancient Old North tongue. This is a view from the southern edge, after descending from the summit and looking along the impressive rock formations along the ridge to the east. Two figures can be seen in the distance. The simplest graphic depiction of a mountain might be the triangle, a shape that became a repeating motif as I created the artwork for this print. There is also a letter ‘A’ hidden away in the rocks, in memory of a friend whose ashes are scattered on the fell top. 'Descending Blencathra' is an 11 colour screen print, hand-printed with water based inks on 300gsm, acid free, Canaletto Velino art grade paper. Each print comes with a map & signed certificate of authenticity. It's a very limited edition of 30 and is numbered, titled, signed, and embossed at the bottom. It is approx 407 x 577mm in size. (For reference, this will fit inside an A2 frame with room to add a mount.) This print is sold unframed, and is sent carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue, then bagged and rolled inside a sturdy cardboard tube. UK Postage is included in the price of this print. SPECIAL NOTE: in an effort to encourage people to explore and care for amazing outdoor spaces, anyone who visits Blencathra, and after purchasing a print and sends me a photo to show they found the view depicted in this artwork will receive something special in the post. Please plan your travels responsibly. :) ---- Thanks for looking. Trow Gill Gorge - 10 Colour Silkscreen Landscape Print - £160.00

Fri, 17 Sep 2021 12:43:45 +0000

Trow Gill is an impressive limestone gorge cutting its way through the landscape of the Yorkshire Dales. My first encounter with the gorge was a few years ago in late December and despite the wet and wintery conditions, I was really taken by the colours - particularly the subtle greens and reds of the limestone walls. Looking southeast back down the gorge provides a stunning view and I knew right away that I wanted to try and capture my first impressions of the place in a silkscreen fine art print. This was an ambitious undertaking but I'm delighted with how it turned out. 'Trow Gill Gorge' is a 10 colour screenprint, hand-printed with water based inks on 300gsm, acid free, Canaletto Velino art grade paper. Each print comes with a map & signed certificate of authenticity. It's a very limited edition of 30 and is numbered, titled, signed, and embossed at the bottom. It is approx 595 x 368mm in size. This print is sold unframed, and is sent carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue, then bagged and rolled inside a sturdy cardboard tube. UK Postage is included in the price of this print. NOTE 1: due to the complexity of this print, there are tiny variations throughout the edition. In particular there are differences in the sky layer (as this was printed with an ink blend) - some have a more prominent band of blue-green across the top. I have not included any print in the edition which I was not happy with but if you have any concerns please drop me a line and I'd be happy to provide a preview photo of the print prior to sending. Thank you for understanding. NOTE 2: a portion of the sales of this print will be donated towards organisations or charities focusing on environmental/climate change issues. NOTE 3: in an effort to encourage people to explore and care for amazing outdoor spaces, anyone who visits Trow Gill Gorge after purchasing a print and sends me a photo to show they were there will receive something special in the post. Simon's Seat, Yorkshire - Silkscreen Landscape Print - 2nd Printing - £35.00

Sat, 05 Sep 2020 12:56:53 +0000

Simon's Seat is a well-known prominent outcrop of millstone grit near Bolton Abbey in Yorkshire. I love the folklore and mythology of natural landmarks and there seem to be some different stories floating around regarding the origin of the name. Some say it's named after ancient druids who followed Simon the Sorcerer, and others suggest it's more simply named after a local shepherd lad named Simon. Whichever is true, it's a beautiful landmark, and can be seen for many miles around, poking out of the heathery hillside. This image started out as a smaller, simpler pen & ink illustration, which I always wanted to expand into a screenprint. Taking the composition of the original illustration, I worked in some more detail and designed the colour separations in order to create this 4 colour print which I hand printed with water based inks on 300gsm, acid free, artist stock. It's 21 x 21 cm, or a little over 8" square in size. This is the 2nd Printing of this artwork, and is marked '2nd Printing' and signed with year & title in pencil at the bottom. This print is sold unframed, and will be either sent flat, reinforced in sturdy cardboard, or rolled in small section of tube, depending on what packaging I have available. ---- Thanks for looking! Cthulhu Soft Enamel Pin + Sticker. 3 colour options - £7.00

Thu, 03 Sep 2020 11:38:51 +0000

I've been a fan of the horror and weird fiction of H.P. Lovecraft for many years. One of his most enduring creations is that of CTHULHU, the Great Old One, a gigantic and powerful entity who lies dormant under the oceans. One of the key tenets of such a monstrous creature is that no human can actually comprehend what Cthulhu truly looks like. Despite this, Cthulhu is now a regular feature of pop culture, showing up in such hideous forms as plush toys, keyrings, and confectionery... While they have their place, I've never really been a fan of the cutesy, cartoon renditions nor the ones that portray Cthulhu as a Godzilla-like monster. I've always much preferred the symbolic representations, the crude sculptures and carved idols, and of course the original sketches made by Lovecraft himself. As such, I came up with my own little tribute to Cthulhu based more closely on Lovecraft's original drawings. A more subtle, classic celebration of everyone's favourite Great Old One. 35mm high, with a rubber clutch, this soft enamel pin comes in 3 options: - Classic Green (with a pleasing antique copper plating) - Tentacle Purple - Blackest Rlyeh Each pin also comes with a random Cthulhu vinyl sticker. Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn! Ph'nglui mglw'nfah Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn! --- Thanks for looking!
