In Acts 9:36, we read about a faithful Christian woman named Dorcas. It’s pretty special that Dorcas is mentioned in the Bible and that millions of people have read about her over the centuries. Was Dorcas known for performing spectacular miracles? Maybe she converted many people to the Lord? Nope! Dorcas is remembered for something much simpler — she was a woman who “abounded with deeds of kindness and charity.” In simple terms, she made clothing to bless those in need (Acts 9:39).
Cambodia Christian Ministries has been blessed with a number of Christian women who could be nicknamed “Dorcas”. Linda Rainey is one of them. Dorcas — I mean Linda — is a member of the Mesquite Church of Christ. She has been a modern-day Dorcas to the Jesus Children by making hundreds of pieces of clothing to be carried to Cambodia for the children.

The February 2025 Medical Mission trip to Cambodia was a great spiritual success! There were 6,832 needy people who received medical care. Almost 800 attended the Bible seminars, a good number of which were house church leaders who share Jesus in their respective villages. Then there were the 44 precious souls who trusted Jesus as the Savior and entrusted their lives to Him as Lord! They were baptized into Christ, receiving forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. What a blessing that we have house church leaders ready to help these new babes in Christ grow and mature in a local church!
