The interiors are defined by clean lines and carefully curated material transitions. Wood finishes introduce warmth and rhythm, while neutral surfaces provide visual clarity and spatial calm. Custom millwork elements integrate seamlessly into the architectural envelope, framing key areas and enhancing functional efficiency without visual clutter.
Lighting is layered strategically to reinforce depth and highlight material textures. Indirect illumination softens architectural edges, while accent lighting emphasizes focal points within the space. The result is an atmosphere that evolves naturally from daylight openness to evening intimacy.

RETRATO TROPICAL
The project is conceived as a contemporary tropical retreat where interior architecture becomes the true protagonist. Our intervention focused on crafting a refined spatial narrative through materiality, proportion, and atmosphere rather than ornament.
The interiors are defined by a restrained yet warm palette, layering natural textures such as wood, stone, and woven fibers to create depth and tactile richness. Custom millwork elements anchor each space, integrating storage, lighting, and architectural rhythm into seamless compositions. Every detail, from the alignment of vertical paneling to the precise framing of views, was curated to enhance spatial clarity and balance.

THE EDGE OF THE ELEMENTS
This project explores the subtle dialogue between architecture and landscape, where built form dissolves into its natural surroundings. Inspired by the chromatic intensity of water and the layered textures of the tropical forest, the design embraces openness, light, and material authenticity.
Rather than imposing itself on the site, the architecture frames views, filters light, and enhances the sensory experience of the environment. Circulation flows naturally, connecting interior and exterior through transitional spaces that invite pause, contemplation, and immersion.

Custom-built millwork plays a central role, integrating storage, display, and architectural framing into cohesive vertical compositions. Clean-lined cabinetry, subtle textural contrasts, and concealed lighting details create a refined yet approachable atmosphere.
Materiality was curated to evoke comfort without excess. Soft wood tones, smooth surfaces, and controlled contrasts introduce depth while maintaining visual clarity. Santarena Hotel embodies a refined interpretation of tropical coastal architecture through its thoughtfully curated interior design. The spaces blend Mediterranean influences with Costa Rican warmth, featuring handcrafted materials, patterned tilework, natural wood accents, and a soft palette inspired by the surrounding ocean and landscape. The interiors emphasize texture, symmetry, and artisanal detailing, creating environments that feel both timeless and contemporary. Framed Serenity is a high-end tropical residence conceived as a sequence of carefully composed architectural moments. The project explores the relationship between structure, material, and landscape, creating a spatial experience that feels both grounded and ethereal.
The design is rooted in a restrained material palette of warm parota-toned woods, crema limestone, travertine textures, and softly woven natural fibers. These materials are not decorative elements but spatial protagonists. They absorb and reflect light differently throughout the day, allowing the architecture to subtly transform with time.
