]]>Darren Aronofsky’s latest film, Caught Stealing, is an action-comedy thriller. Hank, once a high school baseball star and now a bartender after a tragic accident of his own making, finds himself entangled in New York City’s criminal underworld. While pet sitting his neighbor’s cat, Hank becomes the target of several mobsters determined to hunt him down.
Cadence Effects delivered visual effects for over 180 shots, covering a wide range of work including wire removals, retimes, hit enhancements, blood additions, graffiti /graffiti designs, set extensions, muzzle flashes, dust and debris simulations, CG elements, and more. Because Caught Stealing is set in 1998, extensive environmental cleanup was required to maintain period accuracy. This involved removing bike lanes, modern buildings, and contemporary vehicles, as well as adding period specific details such as the World Trade Center towers to ensure a consistent 1990s look.
