Now, I have to be honest: I do not use significator cards in my readings unless I'm doing maybe the Celtic Cross, where it's actually part of the reading, because I find that the Tarot reading in and of itself gives me enough information. However, I know that for a lot of people who are learning to read Tarot or doing some more work with Tarot, this whole idea of significators certainly comes up at one stage or another. And I know many of you have questions around what they are, how you can use them, how you choose them, who chooses them, and so on.

Today's episode is really about giving you all of that information, so you can play around, have a go with it, and decide if using significator card is right for you.

I first came across Lisa's work at the Northwest Tarot Symposium earlier on in this year, 2017. At the event, she taught a session on this topic. I was super, super fascinated by how we could incorporate more of mindfulness in our Tarot practice. And vice versa—how does Tarot help us become more mindful?

In today's conversation, you'll hear Lisa talk more about mindfulness and how you can bring the techniques of mindfulness into your Tarot practice. The really neat thing is it's not complicated. It's not complex; you don't have to master all of these different steps or processes. It is, in fact, very simple and really about just bringing your attention back into the now.

This podcast is about coming 'home' to ourselves using the Tarot and reconnecting to our inner wisdom.

You see, before religions were invented, we HAD to rely on our own innate wisdom to guide us through life. But now, instead of learning how to trust ourselves, we've put so much of our trust into other people—our experts, our authorities, our religious figures, and so on.

And we can certainly see this in the Tarot space. We see folks going to Tarot readers and expecting to get all the answers or a silver bullet to solve their problems.

What I want is to bring that trust back into ourselves, reclaiming our own inner wisdom, and knowing that we have all the answers within us. And I think Tarot can certainly guide us in that way.
