C.R.O.W (Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife) the first wildlife rehabilitation centre to open in South Africa (1980), approached ACE Fencing to supply a tailored solution for its primate rehabilitation facility. The facility within the C.R.O.W. centre is the only SPCA-accredited one of its kind in KwaZulu-Natal.

The objective was to build an enclosure where wild Baboons could be effectively and safely rehabilitated without being exposed to any non-essential human contact. It needed to ensure the Baboons were protected and unable to escape their enclosure until they were assessed and deemed to be ready for release back into the wild.

The solution we delivered was a combination of high-grade mesh fencing with a gum-pole framework and electric fencing as an added anti-climb deterrent.
